Price fluctuation from World to World = NONSENSE - PRICE EQUALITY FOR ALL WORLDS

I was trying to understand what the Dev team wanted to achieve with the disparity in housing price server to server but their logic fails.

The economies on each world don't fluctuate for every commodity due to the influence of gil amount.

A piece of lumber = X amount of gill across all servers no matter how rich the world is.

That's pretty much that same for most things you can purchase of an NPC.

The auction house is a place to auction HQ and unavailable from NPC items... by definition: An auction is a process of buying and selling goods or services by offering them up for bid, taking bids, and then selling the item to the highest bidder.

So we have two systems running the game. Auction(player set) and set price (game fixed all worlds)

Current housing prices punishes those because the amount of gill in that game is more abundant. You basically did something illegal, you looked at what FC's have (our bank accounts) and decided we can afford to spend more...but why should they spend more, because they worked harder to get more? Because they got luckier in early game and sold more to newer players? The reasoning is non-sense.

CONCLUSION:

In each world we are buying the same product, paying the same subscription, living in the same economy with NPC items stable. With a player driven AH. With all this to contend with... what gives SE's Dev Team the right to say I should pay more for the service of housing dependent on where I am located?

This is so wrong that I will not even entertain buying a house and will boycott it until ALL price among all worlds are equal.

Please join me in as many threads as possible to drive this message to SE that we the community don't want HOUSING IN-EQUALITY!

Pick a price...any price and make it for ALL!!!

Seems pretty obvious to me that they are trying to get rid of LARGE ammounts of gil from the economy. Some servers have larger amounts of gil than others, which is likely why Legacy servers got hit harder.

They probably looked at the amount of gil, had some formula to determine what was portion of the world's gil they wanted used to buy a house, and went from that. You may just be in a high inflation world.

Makes perfect sense to me. Don't like it, move to another world? When it all comes down to it, it's a vanity thing, and it's effect on game progression is pretty insignificant.

That's exactly what bugs me. It's not the high price itself but the feeling that I'm being penalized by choosing to stay on my original, legacy server with friends, whereas if we all decided to move to a new one in ARR (when there was a chance to do so - even without knowing they might ever pull this sort of uneven prices stunt in the future) we'd be able to enjoy this game feature.

You can't just transfer to a different world now, as there's a limitation to how many gil (1.0 gil + gil earned in ARR) can be transferred with you. Plus, why should I feel like I have to move to enjoy this game feature which is the same for everyone at a different price for participation, in the first place?

That's not even close to being true. 1 gil would be worth vastly different amounts on a small server vs a big server due to the fact that so much more gil is in circulation on a larger server. This is one of the main reasons you can't transfer large amounts of gil across servers on your character.

Looks like someone never studied economics.

No idea where you get the idea that gil means the same thing on different servers. Remember Titan run selling? On some servers, they were 600k-1mil. On my server, it was 150k and Leviathan wasn't a small server.

Wait till personal housing where it'll also be 10* the cost for legacy servers, must be nice to be Yoshi-P and able to just use a command to add gil to his character, whats the betting he's on Asura?

And everything is fine with that. On the other hand, I don't see airship rides, chocobo porter, boat rides, NPC repairs, teleport prices, NPC stores etc. having a different price per server. It's the same prices for everyone, for every game feature of the same game we all play from day one. Until FC housing.

I feel people keep missing the points or read through the OP and/or replies too fast on some of these threads....

Being treated differently, with these unbelievable prices, just because I'm Legacy isn't right. Its a feature in the game, a game I pay for. I don't pay a monthly sub to be treated poorly because I have x-amount of gil. I pay to play the game I enjoy to enjoy the features. Why the hell should I and all those on my server and FC some of whom are not Legacy, be subjected this this kind of discrimination?

"They have more gil, charge them more for the same feature another server is getting much cheaper."

This would not be welcomed in the real world, its the kind of scumbag move only a$$holes play, no I have to log into a game to be treated unfairly and be told to 'this is happening, deal'.
