With all the PS3-haters in the game and here in the forum, i take it not many people would support this, but...
I think it would be nice to have some sort of remote-play content (or some kind of app) for the PS Vita.
Some area like the inn-room, where you log your character out and use the Vita to log back in to do simple things like:
- chat with your FC/LS
- manage your and your retainers inventory
- sell and buy items on AH
- craft
What do others think of this ?

Just because it's coming on ps4 does not mean remote play will be enabled. I agree though remote play should be functional for this. I also see no reason why you could not do anything non instanced - ie dungeon finder, dungeons, etc.

Edit: some people seem to not understand what remote play really is, it is basically like a twitch feed or something, you are screen sharing to your ps vita what you would normally see on your tv. so there will be some lag involved based on what your home network can upload and your remote network can download. -

Well, i don't think it's possible to make it so that you can walk around the town or world ingame (especially not with other people from PS3 and PC), but chating with FC or crafting while sitting in the bus to work would be nice (actually that's what i do right now, i use my Vita to view the forum and post this ^^;)

Keep an eye on the images on the right, near "What is Second Screen?" That game looks fairly familiar.
Credit to reddit user Leonof on the /r/ffxiv subreddit for pointing it out.
Edit: Worth noting that the article in the post above mine has actual details on the Remote Play functionality with FFXIV, where as mine is merely evidence that Sony is using FFXIV to show Remote Play / Second Screen on their official support pages.
Either way it's totally making me want to pick up the PS4 version, even though I primarily play on PC, so that I can relax in bed while I craft and gather. -
