Since they're fixing latency, will they buff Twintania and make it hard again?

I see they're reducing latency (the 0.3ms requirement) for endgame dungeons and PvP in 2.1. Dodging the Twister Mechanic as it was pre-patch was very hard because of latency, and that is why they had to nerf it.

However, now that they are reducing latency, will they make Twister back into what it was to compensate? Or will they keep the fight a fraction of what it was before?

I see so many people completing Twintania now post-nerf, it's gotta be in the thousands by now. It's ridiculous.

It's still more than hard enough for the vast majority of people that can even reach it. Most people I know don't even attempt turn 5, they beat turn 4 and call themselves done for the week. I had to search around a lot to find anyone that was willing to try it.

Any scripted fight is only hard until you beat it. Then you just follow the script and you beat it every time (or most of the itme)

It would be totally fine if they made an "extreme" version of the fight, but the existing one should remain as is.

A thousand or two people beating it out of the million plus people to have played the game is not a lot. Remember, hardcore players are not a majority as much as they like to think they are.

Honestly I question that Twister was the hardest mechanic in the first place. Most people who attempt turn 5 struggle to get past conflag.

it is the hardest because of the instantgib mechanics, that said you can still avoid them easily but there is less room for error compared to conflags.

actually you know what, every phase minus the first is hard, it's all practice by the end of the day.

I won't put too much hope on their 'fix'. If you read those threads about the latency issue, you can see the main problem comes from the way this game is programmed, not from the 0.3 second.
Even if they reduce it to 0.1 second, I don't think it will make a big difference to those people suffering bad latency now.

Those threads you're talking about are largely just speculation, and mostly untrue.

They cannot reliably fix the delay everyone's experiencing simply because of they way the game's set up technically. If they could, it wouldn't be here now. I wouldn't hold my breath here.

Someone who just got the achievement for "Mapping the realm: The Binding Coil of Bahamut III" shouldn't be judging the difficulty and saying "make it hard AGAIN" for a fight he has never seen, period.
