Tank Diversity

So I've been leveling WAR over the past week or two because upon reading its abilities and seeing it's play style it is very similar to how Blood Death Knights in WoW worked (Yes I mentioned a class in WoW please just go with it).

Essentially the premise of the class is you get your ass beat but you have multiple moves to heal yourself up and a large HP pool to survive them. Now this is pretty much what Warrior was and it is very different then the play style of Paladin, WHICH IS A GOOD THING.

Now onto the point of said thread, upon reading the changes to Warrior MOST of them I thought were really well thought out and very much quality of life goodness that makes a lot of things useful and add a bit of variety to the class.

The issue I have is that by nerfing the hell out of Inner Beast you are taking away alot of the self heals and by adding in all the mitigation you are essentially changing the how the class tanks entirely which is where my issue is.

I like the buffs, I don't like how it seems like Warrior is just a 2handed paladin. So all in all I would ask to be more of the Self-Heal Big HP pool like it was before but that is just my opinion.

Side note: Yes I know it is unfair to judge changes before they actually happen but reading them and making a educated guess is not. Also I don't expect them to reverse any of the changes but a man can dream.

I'm guessing they did this to balance things. When playing my war I rarely IB anyway. So I'd much rather take the % healing on defiance and nerf IB.

WAR will still be very technical with all the mitigation boosts so I'm pretty happy.

Warrior isn't a 2 handed paladin but to be frank, they needed to work on the amount of damage it took.

Warrior has 2 seperate rotations, Wrath (which will work very well post update), paladin's bars are half filled with CDs and he Rage of Halone's everything to death.

You bring up blood death knight. We both know that Blizzard, experts in the game, had a great deal of difficulty making DK tanks functional and yet not overpowered.

Yeah, it might hurt warrior's ability to solo the last 20% of some 4 man boss, but that really isn't a big issue.

You can't please everyone.

See the problem I see is that they already had Warrior in a reasonable position they just had to change a few things and now they are drastically altering almost all of its abilities. I just enjoyed how as a War you had more control over your survival with a well timed IB proper ability use. Now it is back to Pop CDs and hope to god the healer has you.

I didn't even think about this. No more solo RampageJacksonTearsDownDoor.gifing the Demon Wall with a third of its health left... idk if I should be glad for my heart, or sad because I never got to record it.
