MSQ "Drowning Out the Voices" Cannot interact with "Prime Location"

Class/Level: GLD/48 MRD/50 I tried it several other classes that were too low to finish the quest with the same result

Steps: Could not interact with the "Prime Location" on top of the crystal, I stand right beside it, right click, and the UI flashes for a second, no further response.
I attempted to target it and activate the button in my quest log. I began the interaction but was interrupted every time for no apparent reason. On screen error message read "invalid target" I attempted to relog and rebooted my machine, to no avail. Bug happened to me(pc) and my wife (ps3). While standing there witnessed several other players also experience the same issue.
