Quote from the last letter. Is this for real or a translation error? I mean summer starts at 21 june and they want to be done with their plans by then? Or did they mean to type "Remember, these are our plans for summer 2011!" ?!

It wasn't a mistake but it's not entirely clear what it means, this is Square Enix after all, masters of being vague.
The way I took it is whatever fell under "planned" and "currently in development" will be finished by mid June. However read the "currently in development" section and some of them are worded so that there is nothing to release, stuff like "risk assessment finalization for jumping" for example. So I think the list is of things that will be released mid June...its gonna be a huge patch.
I sincerely doubt they meant anything other than summer in the general sense of the word. As in, done by summer's end. Back when you went to school, you got off FOR summer break. You didn't come back until summer was over.
Its the end of summer.Quote:
To clarify regarding the "plans for summer 2011" discussion; the items that Yoshida listed are things that we are planning to implement before the end of summer. Hopefully that's clearer!
What? well I don't doubt that you're right but your example is bad lol :P. Its not the same saying I didn't get off "until summer....was over"...of course not, that's why its called a summer break. However if I wanted to say that I didn't finish my summer break until the end of the summer I wouldn't say "I don't go back to school until summer 2011!" know what I mean? cuz that would mean I go back to school during the summer.
Sounded too good to be true :(
Well thank you for the fast respondses anway!
I honestly don't get how anyone can confuse this........
