So..to those of you saying the PS3 WAS NOT going to limit this game.

*The memory and process for the PS3 versions UI is near it’s limit, therefore we are working to create some memory and processing space by removing excess data from existing UI process, and going through trial and error process to try and get space for the focus target.
(Basically this is what we known as optimization)

Limitations THIS EARLY

Releasing the game for the PS3 was A HUGE, HUGE mistake.

You realize that limitation only affects ps3 users right?

It isn't limiting the game in any way, just the PS3 User Interface.

They are not going to limit PC stuff if a PS3 can't handle it, BUT they obviously have to work with ps3 limits on the ps3. Sounds like even the ps4 won't just be a port of the ps3 version, so we may find years down the line the ps4 getting things the ps3 doesn't have.

Um, how is the game being optimized to operate more smoothly and quickly a detriment to PC players?

LOL, my thoughts exactly.

P.S Makes me wonder if theyre doing this "optimization" for the vanity slot too, and/or the gear preview. If theyre having this much trouble with a simple focus target (usually just a name and healthbar UI) I dont see vanity slots and gear previews ever seeing the light of day on PS3.

mY FEAR IS that cool features that might give PC players advantage over PS3 might make the Devs to leave content out

The limitation has indirect consequences for QoL support for the PC, especially when they enter the realm of raiding QoL. If they make too many adjustments to the PC version that make raiding, etc. nice and ideal (as they should) but cannot do so on the PS3, they have a double standard to account for. Not that I support ANYONE raiding seriously on this game with a PS3, or playing the game with a PS3 for that matter as that is dated hardware at best, but the issue with their promised product exists.

Here's to hoping you're right and the limitations will only affect the PS3.

That's a really weak argument. They've already built the hame with the purpose of scaling it up and down. We all knew this going in!
