Gryphonskin gear materia caps

I was wondering what the stat caps are when melding materia onto gryphonskin gear. I've been looking everywhere but i can't find to seem a complete list. Anything I've found is only the gear stat cap on accessories or secondary stats.

So for example for Gryphonskin trousers, what's the max amount of STR i can put on it? VIT? Crit? etc...
I wanted to know if it's possible to get gryphon skin equipment that's HQ ilevel70 and then stack my primary stat of STR on it, to see if it's possible to make it competitive with allagan/myth pieces.

Assuming the pants are HQ...

STR is already capped
VIT is already capped
Crit is already capped
Determination, it can hold 5 more
Skill speed looks like it caps at +19
Accuracy looks like it caps at +27

No, the primary stat(s) on HQ items are always capped.

No that is not true. There are some HQ gear you can still add few stat(s) to them not much maybe +3,+ 4 or sometimes +6 even if the stat(s) is primary. I dont have Scrn shoots but I have seen it in game. I hope someone can back me up on this.

Edit: I am not fully sure about the Gryphonskin items but I have seen it on Vanyan gear and crafting gear.

DoH/DoL gear don't count for this rule, I should have clarified. However, Vanya most definitely follows that rule, so like the above guy said, you probably saw an NQ piece.

okay so for the most part, gryphonskin equipment is capped on primary stats so all thats left that can be put on it is secondary stats pretty much, and i cant even stack the best one, crit, so basically slotting materia in gryphonskin gear can't compete even close to allagan/myth then, though possibly philosophy gear.

Yes, for most purposes iLv90 gear will almost always beat iLv70 gear, even with materia socketed.
