Titan HM : pro/con/ideas for improvement
The purpose of this thread is to see if this encounter needs to be improved in any way, and if so what could be done.
I will not update the OP since I'm in no way a judge of your reply's quality, but if you think you can bring some interesting ideas, that would be a good topic to do it.
The paragraphs below are opinions based on my very limited Titan experience.
Pro :
- Challenging fight for DD and Healers (compared to any of the previous encounter)
- Nice reward via Relic quest
- Nice music, adapted to the different phases
Con :
- Boring fight for the tank, less work than Garuda
- Only 1 tank needed, which is against the game's design :
- Cannot be done via Duty finder :
- Warriors are ignored by 90% of the players for this fight (don't get me wrong on this, it's doable with WAR mt, just not popular at all)
- Since they get to chose their members, people tend to go crazy with gear expectations
- Unforgiving game mechanics
- Impossible to do if you have bad latency
- "By heart" fight : all fights are like this in FFXIV thou
- Crappy drop reward making the fight irrelevant for anyone without an active relic quest
- WTS Titan 100% win : XXXk gils.
Ideas for improvement :
- Update the duty finder to make it a 1 tank fight
OR
- Add something to offtank in the encounter
- Make something happen to the tank, like position changing, stun
- Add something to the loot table
- Lower Titan's single target damage
OR
- Improve warrior's damage mitigation
