I don't understand the extremely high frequency of these 'rotting', 'moldy', 'charred' etc armour pieces being found in the dungeons especially from cutter's cry onwards... I have ran SV at least 15 times and the only tanking gear i got so far was a single aetherial celata, and probably found more than 25 of these crafting pieces.
I understand they could be converted into much better gears, but their varieties are so limited compared to those pink sets. at this moment, the prospects of finding better equipments in dungeons is one of the only few reasons why people would rather do dungeons than FATEs, but the amount of 'junk' we find in them is very discouraging. Shouldn't they add in more palatable loots so people are more inclined to do them?

I probably got a full set of these for tanking or something, but before I could find an Armorer to make me a sweet Vintage set I got to level 45. But that was early launch. Now it's probably trivial to find someone who can craft them.
They're still with my retainer for the day when I can make them myself. :( -

as a tank, I have the full cavalry set (from brayflox), which should have been replaced in cutter's cry by a set of odd albeit very good gear (a pink elmo, the darkshell scalemail and the paladin's pants) but i only managed to get the elmo after some 10 runs. my gear should have been replaced by the aetherial mythril gear supposedly found im stoke vigil thereafter, but once again after some 10 or so runs i only got the celata, and I'm already 45.
I guess the cavalry (or battlemage or infantry) set would have sufficed.. -

yes the hq versions are indeed better (albeit only if you are relevant classes)! on tank classes, I got the hq vers of the mythril set instead - finally i can change out of the cavalry set!
