Darklight/ Relic Armor Exchange system?

Could we get a NPC that allows us to Exchange our used Darklight/Relic Armor for tomes? Something like a 825 piece item gives 410 tomes, 495 item gives 240, 375 item gives 180. Would be nice to do something with this outdated gear we get, Since the armor can't be used for another job except Heavy DL/ and I think the healing cowl.

Wouldn't that kinda be the same thing? Also think about it would you want to take a chance to turn your darklight/relic into materia if we can or would you rather take that old darklight/relic gear you will never use again to go toward gearing another job? Or it can just sit in your retainer and never see the light of day again.

Worst scenario imagine you just spent 3 weeks getting a Relic body, You join a random Coils group and your Allagan body drops.... Damn just wasted 3 weeks of farming. Would be nice to trade that body back in to help get something else.

This is just an Example, I have been told that people should be smart when they buy their Relic gear. Find out what gear drops from which turns before you decide to buy a Relic piece, Those DRG legs look real sexy but they drop from turn 1 and seem to be very common. Thanks.

Doesn't show up for seals and god I would never want to trade it for GC seals. Side note you can trade all dungeon gear for Seals AK gear is like 174 seals.

Like the OP said I rather have the old DL piece be use towards another piece, or lower cost overall but when I think about it the exchange seems better in the long run.

Anything over 20% tomes I would be happy with the only DL piece I have left is the head besides a few acc items, Now all the darklight gear I spent hours grinding for is going to waste.

This pretty much said it as a whole.

If exchanges ever happen the exchange rates will less than 10%.

I'd rather see lowered costs than an exchange system.

iono if you've never used an item and its not bound to you, you should be able to trade it back in imo.

Maybe the Grand Company can give you seals for it?

I would like to get something out of the gear I spent countless hours farming the tomes to get, not sure what I would like to see out of it, tomes, gil, gc seals, maybe converting into material in the future, but anything is better than just deleting it to save some armory space.
