In the future, /readycheck

This may be a lot to ask for, but in the future would it be possible to implement some sort of readycheck system prior to engaging in battles. Also some sort of countdown would be great as well. Not sure this is possible with a simple patch, but man would it help.

You could always...just ask the group. /readycheck was great for games that have 40-man raids, or even 20-man raids. But really...we're talking about 4 and 8 man groups.

It's already implemented you could say, it's called patience. Sadly enough it's the tanks as they're pretty much the class everyone follows.
You don't even need to say ready you should be making sure everyone is following, if someone is still back at the last mobs stop attacking trash then complaining, I'm not sure about others but I have a few life issues that I must contend with. The tank running off without me will get them killed as no one else can heal besides maybe the Summoner. But this is without the point it's a team dungeon and you move forward as a team and not while someone is off doing whatever.

I was in a dungeon just before where someone was trying to feed his child, he said he'd be back in 5 minutes and everyone said it was okay as we could go get a drink etc, besides the tank who contentiously ran forward attacked trash then died then he began to complain. :/

I'd hope the content of this game will not be limited to 8 man groups for the rest of time, a really sad thing if that's true.

This is kind of the point of a ready check isn't it? Especially in groups where language barriers are present(Japanese, French, English). Wouldn't it be nice to click a button when you're back from your 5 minute break?

As a tank I don't pull until i see all the dots on the minimap have followed me.. thats the ready check.. if they are not ready they will still be where they were

but really just type /p Ready? <se.7> /

most people know and use the / system

i spam spacebar. jumping = ready

When it comes down to bosses I assume that if someone has stepped over the purple line then they're ready to go.

A ready check would be really nice.

Considering they played all sorts of other MMOs when designing this, it suprises me this feature is not stock.

Well, guess have to wait until UI mods come out. Wonder if the DBM makers will be doing a version for FF 14? Hmm.

Guess you missed out on the information about Crystal Tower.

It's 24 players, 3 parties of 8, 2 tanks / 2 healers / 4 dps per group.
