Got an in progress Copperbell Mines yesterday. Only one dps and tank there when I (blm) joined. They both left the second I joined. Was 60 mins in progress and they only had last boss to go.

Healer joined a minute later and we decided to duo the boss. Was a lot of fun, healer was kiting 8 Stone Servants in the end, they still managed to keep me up as well and we knocked him over.

Most enjoyable levelling roulette for awhile :)

I hear ya but the point is that you don't need to "save" your CDs, especially in DF dungeons. Popping them in reaction to their perceived "threat of death" just shows they don't understand their job.

Understood. Sometimes my heals are such that I forget about CDs, or just press them so routinely I forget I am pressing them half the time. I don't panic. There's no permadeath in FF14, and death only hurts the repair bill.

But I have had plenty of healers let me die because well...Netlfix yo! So panicky tanks could be a result of more than just bad play. Just sayin'

This is true and extremely annoying. I was on Discord with my GF. She was asking me why I was keeping the tank on the edge of dying. I told her how I sometimes avoid healing a tank to force them pop cds, then top them off and happy DPS as now they take little to no damage. Disclaimer: I consider myself a very decent healer, so I can do this no problem, I analyze the bosses' patterns to see when I can get away with no healing at all.

But yeah, all of this because some tanks use their cds as an oh-shit-buttom when they can perfectly pop them once the trash has been gathered. But hey, for some, having their stance on is more than enough. -.-

Party Finder A1S - Farm run:

Player x : Where's your Anima
Party : Who?
Player x: GTFO if you're not using anima
Party x: silent with none Anima user telling player x to chill

Party reaches Oppressor.... Party leaves, I and the none Anima user still stood bemused by it all

So the other day was helping a friend who just started playing run through Sastasha normal for the first time. I queue up as whm and my buddy is rolling as archanist. We queue in and I notice the tank has less hp than me and is a mrd which immediately struck me a strange because I'd only ever seen that happen in 1 situation. So I check out the gear and the idiot queued in with lvl 1 gear equipped as I suspected. I ask the tank to equip better gear, and he puts on 2 lvl 5 pieces and says "this is the best I've got, its all still on my retainer."

So yeah, needless to say, we wound up having to bust out topaz carbuncle. It was that painful. How we kept the tank alive all the way up until the very last boss is a miracle.
Please make sure your properly geared out before you dust of a job you've not touched since you grabbed the lvl 1 quest and decide to jump into a dungeon. SMH

There are very few times when I have ever just up and left a 24 man raid. Usually I grit my teeth and stick it out, but last night was something else. We had to use healer LB3 on the first boss which was a red flag to start off with. We surprisingly one-shot Ferdiad and even Scathach, albeit another healer LB3 was needed to pull through. And then came diabolos. We wiped 4 times because people kept soaking the red orbs or dragging the black balls over the group. After the 4th time, I couldn't take it anymore and I bailed. 30 minute penalty didn't matter because I immediately went to bed right after haha

On a lighter note, Happy Thousand pages everyone! :D

Anyway, the other day I did leveling roulette and got Ifrit. It was a nice and easy run with no problems. At the end, our other DPS (the guy whose name is in red) decided to humor us with some jokes before leaving. I love runs like this :)
