Please put me in a queue...I really REALLY don't care if it's around the whole data center...as long as I don't have to keep checking. Thank you.

I dont matter this.. i paid for the early access and i have rights to enter into the game and play!!!!!! only this!!!. They cant implement a restriction system cuz this is a fraud to the people. In all weekend.. i only could play a littile time cuz the problems with theirs servers. They arent serious with the Proyect of FF14. If they have this problem right now.. i cant imagin after the release. They will be closed this game cuz this problem if tomorrow the game still have the same problem. They haven't a solutions for this problem.. this is a fact.
First 3012 and 90k in P4, now 1017 in EA. While I have a fair amount of patience, not being able to play at all is getting irritating. When I do play, I've had little problems... it's getting in to actually play that seems to be the running theme for us NA/EU users.
You do realize that if they didn't put that restriction there would be 0 server stability... meaning the server would crash... meaning you wouldn't get to play REGARDLESS of what you paid for...
I'm not saying I agree with what they're doing but they are trying to load balance the servers. IMO they need to get MORE servers.
Add me to the pile... this occured all day yesterday and now again.... server: Coeurl.
What is technical support doing about this issue. Anyone have a clue.
First I do appreciate a logical and well thought argument, and not a insult. Thank you. Yes, I do realize that tomorrow even more people will be logging on. However I would like to point out that it is likely only a handful of people on there actually understand what its like to actually make and maintain a game. It isn't easy I assure you. No matter how aware they are about how many people will be logging on nothing can test how the servers will react to that much traffic. It cannot be prevented in almost any new mmo. I am aware that everyone has expectations of SE but they tend to be a little blind. There is nothing that can be done now that isn't already being done. They posted a warning about this on the 21st. You cannot say that you where not warned about what might happen. SE will open up many more servers tomorrow that can better accommodate the traffic but there will still be issues. Bioware, Blizzard and any other company that has an mmo have all experienced this problem at one point or another you just have to understand that these things happen. I'm positive that SE will correct the problem in some way to make up for the time players lost. The big picture here is the game will be around for a few years at least. you will all survive a few days of waiting.
p.s. before anyone decides to post further insults to me know this I really don't care what you think of me or my opinion. if you want to disagree with me try and actually make a FACTUAL argument.
P4 was all about stress testing.
The stress testing had almost ALL the servers locked from being full. Indicating bandwidth or server size needed to b e increased.
1017 is the new 3102. For the love of god, fix this. I haven't even seen any JP server having any issue at all.
One problem I see that can be addressed is the lack of afk-to-offline status. Implement a system that boots for inactivity. Being able to afk all day is going to create an abundance of unnecessary logins
Peak time or no, getting kicked off to 90000 error, and then not being able to log back in after 100 attempts with the 1017 is frustrating. Put me in a queue. Force log outs for people without action in over 5 minutes.
It's Early Access, so it's forgivable, but jeez it is really starting to get old. I'm not going to make any demands until tomorrow. Launch is launch guys, you've got Wildstar on the edge, you've got Warcraft releasing a major game patch for the end of the expansion, not too mention hearthstone launch soon.
I'm a FF loyalist, but if I can't play your game reliably... well then simply, I can't play your game. Forget about the challenge it is to play with friends right now.
It seems you're doing what you can, or so all the letters from the Devs assure me, but it's what you can't do that I'm afraid of. If you can't fix this issue, then you don't have a game to play. Regardless of how good I believe it to be.
If it's going to take awhile, if you're really going to launch the game without paying players being able to access their characters or play with their friends, then you need to seriously consider how you plan to reward the patience of the players who stick around. You have something special here guys, no doubt in my mind, please do right by your fan-base.
Actually, the normal gameplay servers were fine. It's the instanced/duty finder portions that are the problem. People were getting stalled/bounced when trying to access specific pieces of content.
Instead of trying to find an alternative way of handling these things, which would take a lot of redevelopment time (ala FFXI methods), they are trying to fix the stability issues with just those particular servers.
What they COULD do is just stop those missions from progressing while they work on the problem. Sure, it would suck to have everybody locked down at the level 15-ish story mission until it's resolved--but they could change classes and work on other crap in the mean time. The entire game doesn't need to be taken away from 80% of the playerbase over this crap.
Open more servers and allow free or even paid server transfers, this is absurd.
I work Monday - Friday from 9 - 5 PST, which means every day I get home, I'm going to be attempting to get on during the busiest hours. Which means I will be confronted with this 1017 error almost every day if this solutions is your end-game plan.
This means that the people who don't work, or work alternate times, or days will have the opportunity to play, while the rest of us spam the relog button over and over.
This "Fix" you have going right now, only promotes people to NEVER log out. There is no idle kick, so someone can wait for hours online without fear of being kicked.
My best chance i'll have from this point on, is to logon in the morning before I go to work, and leave my character in game, all day. At least then i'll have a reasonable chance to play when I get home. Don't you see the problem with this SE?
