It's all RNG, there's no proof (or any correlation really) that higher surveillance unlocks sectors more easily. Just have surveillance to 90+ and hit up all the sectors known to unlock Diadem (17-22 I think?) while also working on 21/22. With the higher level sectors it is definitely worth the extra time to downgrade your rig and upgrade everything else to hit as many bigboy sectors possible due to the minimum travel time.

Ok, thank you :). So just to clarify (last question), I can set the sectors to 18, 19, and 20, and still have a chance to unlock Sector 21 while (potentially) unlocking Diadem HM in the other sectors?

Correct. It also helps to have multiple ships (if you can afford building them all) and sending more ships out. The best way to beat RNG is through numbers :p

This so much, you can cover a lot more ground this way.

Anyone have any Tips to unlocked Sector 20? After getting Sector 19 unlocked, I have been sending it to Sector 19 constantly in hoping to unlocked Sector 20, but it constantly returning with no sector unlocked for almost a Month now.

What am I doing wrong? The Airship have everything above 90. Some even int he 100.

I always try to make the airship "fly near" the sector I'm trying to unlock.
I would send Airships 19 > 18 /17 and 18/17 > 19.
Don't know if that works, but I unlocked everything pretty fast.

Several Airship-related changes in the preliminary patch notes today:

• A new group of islands has been added.
• New items have been added, and the drop rate of items has been adjusted.
• Airship parts can now be dyed.
• New craftable items have been added to the Company Workshop.

New Components:

• Viltgance-type Hull
• Viltgance-type Aetherwings
• Viltgance-type Forecastle
• Viltgance-type Aftcastle

Please, oh please let one of the new islands give tV DoH/L materia.... Since they aren't adding that anywhere else, sob.

Yeah that's a good point... but nothing about maximum airship Rank (up to 60 ?)
Or maybe the news components will be different (more bonus/malus on them)

We already can't make a full tatarona so adding news parts not the best idea imo

They did not say the airship rank would go up though with a new set of airship parts and new islands to explore I would think the airship would go up to lvl 60 to 70. This is given they give 1 air frame capacity per level. The other guess is that it remains level 50 but the stats are different on the new part or the have high stats but take up less air frame capacity. Either way I am interested in the changes and I have sent my airship out to sectors 19 to 22 to see if they unlock anything when arriving after the server are back up. I tried this last time in 3.1 and 2 airships oddly found Diadem hard mode when they came back a few hours after servers came back up.

On a side note, the person that was updating the airship worksheet. Are they still here and will they be updating the work sheet or will others?
