I still think the Nordics had the worst deal. Sure, having to buy something for 20£ isn't too bad. However, while well at the local store, it surfaced that they'd been instructed only to give out the codes to those who buy SE products for at least 20£... ended up buying a game I'm not even sure I want to play for 60£ because of this bullshit.

Or I guess you could do the same fake pre-order scheme that some people hit Amazon with, ordering and then cancelling FFXV, though I think Gamestop charges a small up-front fee when you pre-order, so that they don't lose out completely on cancellations. Paying $30 AUD certainly sucks, but I'm even more confused at the fact the store sells nothing related to Square Enix or Final Fantasy? Why can't we just buy FF merchandise and get the promotional codes that way? -

The merch for the AU one is HORRIBLE! None of the anime is new, and it's ONLY anime stock. Most of it is SUSPICIOUSLY $29.99 so you would have to spend over $30....

With playstation 2 being the newest consol I own, I ended up buying a 60£ PC game (which I'm not even sure if I want to play) because of their limited stock... the fact that the 20£ we were required to spend also had to be SE merchandise only made it worse... Deus Ex was almost the only option in the entire store.Quote:
