What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

This comment made me realize why someone insisted on Venat being good. "Our loving mommy goddess is torturing us, on purpose, to make us strong," seemed like an insane direction to go in if you want a feelgood story. But the goal was to convince themselves and the players that their suffering and pain had meaning, purpose.

No it don't, which is why we should keep working to reduce and alleviate it at every possible opportunity.

There will be new characters questing with us in Dawntrail judging by the promotional art, so it's already a lot better than Endwalker.

I’m excited about the new catboi in the artwork, graha has been sucking the life out of that field for a while now and I just think he is as remotely interesting as he was when he was the crystal exarch

I’m ambivalent on him dying in 5.3 but I don’t really like where they are taking his character, at this point I pretty much only still like him because I’m pre-disposed to liking all catboi’s

We’ve been fooled before, by other games from other companies that were once worth a damn.

By the way I can't put any faith in the current English localization manager when she can't even pronounce Bozja right, even right after Yoshida himself said it a few seconds before her translation.

I like him because I feel they did the merge well. They found a way where he's still a dorky kid and a wise old sage at the same time, somehow.

How did she say it?

I would say it should be "Boz-ya" since they're Slavic but most people I talk to use a hard-j. It doesn't help that the whole questline isn't voice acted.

I said that in another thread that I would like the story of DT to more of a focus on the WoL possibly speaking on how they're used as a tool by the Scions and many political groups in the world at times. I feel like that could be the driving factor of what makes them go seperate ways for the MSQ, as well as a means to add more depth to the friendships with the scions and add depth to our position as the MC of the game.

WoL(Meteor) is just the Scions prize fighter. Only seen as a hero or weapon/tool they can use to solve all their problems. Only characters that saw WoL as a adventurer/person are either dead or presumed dead. Which were Haurchefant Greystone and Zenos Galvus. All other big names see the WoL as Hero First and Adventurer/Person second.

If they wanted to expand the WoL beyond the Scions they would have done so across multiple expansions where the WoL is there during these big events but the main character of the expansion is a new NPC.

WoL amounts to little more then the Scion's Enforcer. The Scions serve as the body while you serve as both their Sword and Shield.

You got side stories with little to no Scion involvement but even then the WoL is just taking orders from questgivers.
