I don't think so, I still got random person sent me /tell selling gills tonight. Seems like they still have the gill stock

Any news on those accounts which were compromised/hacked and subsequently suspended? Do we fall under this 3 day suspension? I tried to log in yesterday but got a message that my account was no longer active. Mogstation shows I have a mysterious lvl 1 character I never created, added to another world so I know for a fact I was hacked. My highest lvl character is a lvl 45 and I have less than 150k gil to my name. So casual players, like myself, who can only play a few hours a week due to real life and a full time career consisting of 60 + hour work weeks are being adversely affected by this RTM mess.
Well SE do all they can so there will be no need 2 make new/biger servers.
last i saw, gil prices have tripled-quadrupled over the last 36 hrs
125 tomestone mats are going for 50k on my server right now, juuuuuust sayin 1+ mil gil = pie
My poor Retainers. Haven't been fed for 3 days :(
Well SE ,like almost any mmo now, just bun ppl that have lots of money from selling ligament items . But there so much gil seller's out ther.just have 3 non stop miners of ed.but we do nothing 2 ther real and know sits that sell it all.why? It's like prison drugs users but never tuch the people that sell the drug.
This way we will lose more people, like 5-10% .and it's after they lost like 30 after the super good launch.
Just received a Notice of Service Account Termination due to violation of ToS rules, specifically RTM. I am not sure who runs their investigations but all they had to do was log into my character on Behemoth and view all of my lvl 40-45 white quest gear and less than 150k gil from quests and leves that if I were buying or selling gil, I sure have nothing to show for it. Going to call the service desk in the morning after work (I work the graveyard shift as a police officer) and hopefully I can get this all ironed out. SE has a good game but their enforcement and task force needs a complete overhaul. I am sure I am not the only casualty to have had this happen to. Unfortunate that a casual gamer, like myself, who has only a few hours out of the work week to play due to the daily grind of a 60 plus hr/week career be accused of cheating and have services terminated without any forewarning.
i wonder if i ever sell anything after this, maybe not anymore , just enough for repair fees :/
Maybe it is also because people are selling dungeons runs e.g. 60k/100k gives you a titan win.
I still think they should do investigation into those people and Gil sellers and not just ban people outright, but that might be a big task and allot of man power.
Wow.. just wow....
I created a new service on my same account with plans for global domination with my main account being able to mail to directly to my alt account instead of this 3rd party trade crap to alts. Levelled the character to 16 logged out, and now this account has been suspended.
What the hell is going on. This is utter bullshit. I was angry before, now I'm furious.
All these posts begs the question........Why have we not heard anything from SE concerning this situation? An official explanation is needed, the sooner the better.
I don't want to break the forum rules but I am going to share my opinion.
1. Square Enix is banning accounts of players who have (X) amount of gil, or do large transactions of gil or make trades getting GIL obtained illegally, however this appears to be targeting innocent players who are just trying to play the game and this is unacceptable.
. As a result and original player of Final Fantasy XI, and Final Fantasy XIV, (Not AAR) Collectors owner, I have drop my subscription to this game, I will not be renewing it until the following are met.
2. The bans need to stop, if a player is caught illegally buying GIL, ban them get rid of you're automated Banning system which is not really a task force reviewing transactions.
A. Remove all transactions from the game ban all Transfers of GIL via trade.
B. Ban mailing of GIL, make GIL only usable in the market.
C. Even if you do the above then players would just put a item up for 1 million gil and tell (X) Person to buy it unless of course you fix it so no one knows who is buying it which is a good idea but players would quit playing for sure.
D. You're Website SUCKS, I go to Final Fantasy XIV site.
http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/
I am given this stupid Lode Stone thing can't navigate you're site without logging in ITS A PAIN, also you're (AMS) Account Management System totally sucks you need to update this before I even think about Renewing my subscription.

And just because of the Natural Disaster in Japan using that as an excuse for shutting down the original Final Fantasy XIV was pathetic, There should always be back-ups.
But Square Enix this time will not be as lucky again when this game goes down the drain because they can't even launch it properly and they are giving themselves bad public exposure just go to google look up "Final Fantasy XIV banned Gil" in search
Just my 2 Cents I hope this helps.
PLEASE FIX YOu're Forums Can't use more than 1000 letters Its annoying ( Well unless you edit after posting.)
I will not renew my subscription until SE improves customer service the game and these forums.
I support Real Money Trading. ( Square Enix does not) What they do is their business as stated in EULA/TOS.
I do not support spamming in game, botting, cheating, afk macroing, hacking which is what some companies do to obtain gil and the farmers need to be shut down by gil farmer I mean the cheaters, I Gold Farm everytime I play a game.
When it comes down to it no game company can actually ban every Gold Sller, or Buyer and it is 100% LEGAL if done right no one ever gets banned which is why you have to know who to get you're goods from not asking players to buy GIL here because its illegal per SE TOS, I am just saying You do you're thing I do mine Don't annoy me in game don't spam I don't care what you do with you're RL money.
Square Enix needs to fix their mistake and mighty fast using automated ban scripts is not fixing it.
I am not saying not to ban illegal farmers if you can prove that 100% Everyone you banned purchased gil and provide the evidence public then I am happy, but otherwise I am not, and I am seeing too many complaints about bans to know Something is going on, and of course per TOS SE doesn't have to do crap, but I am showing Square Enix with my wallet.
To truly understand RMT is to support it like EVE Online, Diablo 3, and so many other games have started to accept, let the economy play itself out even Guild Wars 2, Get rid of the cheaters, bots hackers, put in a legit trading post possibly or allow players to do their own thing, while figure out a way to decrease in game GIL which requires GIL spending more and more.
Its like the U.S Economy with trillion dollar debit all the social security payouts, government spending, loans, bailouts you think we are going to get out of debt, nope not easily it would be hard on millions and with our current banking system its a laugh, oh and lets not forget you could always hit the reset button devalue the U.S dollar so everyone's hard worked money means nothing it happened with confederate money once already before it was the U.S Dollar, similar to online gaming.
I have played many Alpha, Beta Tests, Done Scripting, and enough to know how GM's do their jobs in games, seen many games go down hill too because of dumb decisions and mistakes so yeah ^^ While a lot of people hate Bots, Cheaters, Hacks, Spammers I hate it too but it will be in RPG's unless you find a way to eliminate this and they all come at a cost and I say what Square Enix is doing is similar to Age OF Wushu, I spent $90 in Age OF Wushu and quit fast because of mistakes they made refused to listen to me just like when I said SWTOR was going to be a failure, told Gamers First APB was going to loose almost its entire player base compared to when they relaunched, and Said TERA was going to FAIL, and others too no one listen to customer until they take a hit.
Having over 1 million accounts subscribed do you think Square Enix has over 1 million players to view every transaction they do not a system flags players or automatic bans them and Square Enix is being dumb about it no proof of a Real Money Transaction unless SE was doing it themselves you have no proof that (X) Player went to PayPal and paid for GIL just a person trading an Item for Gil if I want to sell my potion for a million gil I can do such its legit transaction can't ban that.
Oh and btw Square Enix might want to fix this Asap, because I am a god of the search engine and I will have some fun making sure this gets around to every forum and site on the internet about the bans, I believe some of the people who have been complaining about false bans They can't all be lies ^^ Haven't ever seen complaints within the last 30 days of people getting banned on any other game for buying gold or currency because if they get banned they know they did it.
I'd like to hope that we didn't hear anything because their employees don't work on the weekend, however it's coming up on midnight Monday in Japan and we haven't heard anything...soooooooooooooooooooooo.
Btw, tomorrow at JP midnight (10am EST) is the magic time for the end of the 72 hour suspension for people that were banned on Friday (they stated via phone support that it doesn't start until the next day at JP midnight). Let's see if Square-Enix pulls through and has their investigations done by then.
I think a lot more people involved are guilty than most seem to expect. Games have recorded upwards of 50% of their player base purchases gold in any given month, and some of those games don't even have regular gold spamming advertisements. I very much doubt Square Enix have just banned any account over XXX Gold while they investigate. It's far more likely that they've nailed down the gold sellers (which is not hard to do) and then slapped a temp ban on anyone with direct trade history with them.
Loads of people are buying gold and I would guess that at least half of the people screaming bloody murder, are just trying to play the victim after getting caught out.
I'm still confused as to why people would buy gil right now. There's not much to do with it unless you're just wanting to rush level your crafting classes by purchasing materials, quest items, and crafting gear. SE is hammering the gil sellers hard. Most of the time I don't see shouts, only /tells. Which are blacklisted and reported. I'm clearing out my blacklisted regularly of (Deleted).
Right now, I think SE is a stellar job on this. I figured they wouldn't ban people over the amount of gil they have, especially not an automated ban-software. I figured that people were reporting "over industrious" people... but now I wonder if they were actually buying gil because so many other rich folks have stepped forward with very large numbers and have not been banned.
In regards to the gill issue;
I personally have played and cleared every final fantasy title since (Nintendo 8 bit)"FF ONE", and just let me say that it has been a final fantasy tradition to have a trademarked style of play and currency system for the unique type of enjoyment this game offers.
One of the things in this game that helps keep ones interest is the hopeful expectation of working for grinding for and finally getting to see/equip and use a new piece of equipment in the field-"against that same monster that may have given you trouble three levels ago".
The employment of "rude" Capitalism in whats intended as an entertaining fantasy title is assanine, and I might add does ruin the atmoshphere intended for the game and thats exactly why the gil spamming messages brought out an irritation you couldn't quite put your finger on.
SE Has Never.. EVER knew how to deal in Customer relations or RMTs, they released hotfixes to fix the speed runs, but they haven't put a proper spam filter yet, which any mediocre programmer can achieve in 2 hours or less. this won't be fixed, its ffxi all over again, people are gonna buy gil, innocent people will get banned, gil sellers will run freely, because simply there are too many of them . SE cant do anything about it, and they wont even try (seriously)
reporting an RMT in game takes about 1 minute, in any decent mmo, you could right click the name in chat and report spam or bot. but not an SE mmo, nooooooooo thats too advanced
They have implemented a filter, but it's specific to RMTs. They talked about it in the TGS Live Letter.
Also, if you quested to 50, and didn't TP around everwhere you should easily have around 300k-350k alone
YOU ARE SO CUTE!! LIKE A CHILD !! <33333333333333333333
MOMMY THIS KID HAS BETTER TOYS THAN ME!! PLEASE MURDER HIM!!!!!!!!
Lol, Any crafter with half a brain can make about 200k a day EASILY, if you dont have even HALF A BRAIN........ reread my post :D
SO CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE <3
A policy of banning first and finding out the facts second is a TERRIBLE way to conduct business.
I want SqEnx to be very tough on RMT as I can't tolerate it. However, I don't want SqEnx to be foolish. Find the facts first, then ban if the facts lead to that conclusion. Going in reverse order is bad.
Seriously, I have 25k gil. I spend many hours mining (~lvl 40 miner) and then I craft my own ingots that sell for like 500 gil each. I don't even have enough crystals to craft anymore. Each wind shard costs ~100 gil which makes my profit extremely minimal, just enough to cover teleport fees basically. Please unlock my account SE.
It has been 72+ hours now since the first wave of (temp) bans. I have yet to hear of anyone getting restoration of their account. If they are still investigating, maybe they should have investigated a bit better before the bans. If they are done investigating, I expect a Lodestone announcement proclaiming how many were banned for RMT activities. Right now there seems to be many accounts in limbo.
Because unless it was your personal account that was banned/suspended, SE doesn't have to say anything to you.
The more information they provide about how they are conducting their investigation, the more information the gil sellers have to get around their methods.
Official word will go from SE to each individual whose account was suspended/banned/investigated.
Until then, be glad they're doing something about the gil seller situation everyone has been screaming at them to address.
Check it out here:

Not only have they not released the 72-hour temporary bans, but they have extended them for a week because they haven't even begun to investigate them yet.
This is legitimately one of the worst customer service policies I've ever seen.
I was (am?) a long time FFXI player and I'm not the least bit surprised that they're continuing the same low level of quality they provide with their customer service that I got when I was playing that game. I'm not certain if XIV has the same department as the XI customer service when you call in though, talk to any XI player that tried calling in about their accounts at some point and you'll hear stories of people waiting on the line for hours before being given a 2 minute non-conversation before a prompt hangup, someone "transferring" your call for 15 minutes before it just mysteriously drops (sometimes you'd actually hear a hangup sound), and representatives just generally acting rude.
K I'm done reading all these repeated complain posts. You are all blowing this out of proportion. In all likeliness they have been tracking the logs of said players to see HOW they obtain this gil and who they are interacting with. If the logs are showing exploits or regular collaboration with RMTs then of course they would be banned. It's not just based on a set amount(unless that amount has been deemed impossible to obtain under given circumstances).
Get more information, then come back and complain about what you do know...not what you don't.
OH! So you know all of this do you? And you prefer player testimony to official reports? Got it. Ok, so then perhaps you should take into consideration the post earlier in this thread that someone was banned and only has 25k. That is contradictory to your information, and further implies there are more factors than gil amount alone.
You DON'T have all the facts. And your evidence is more unreliable than my reasoning. The internet is full of liars. Stick with official reports if you're going to try to start a lynch mob.
Except...if the reaction to player claims is to just accuse the player of lying then it's impossible for anything to convince you because as players that's the only information we can go on.
Frankly, I'm more inclined to believe the players on this one, because they did this exact same thing when they were combating RMT in FFXI, and if I'm not mistaken, they're using the same exact STF that they used in XI. They banned legitimate gardeners because RMTs were abusing it, for one example. Granted, I'm confident there are some people that screwed with RMT when they shouldn't have and got banned for it, but of course, you can use the exact same logic you're using to say that your suspicions are incorrect.
