Eft in FFXI
http://images.wikia.com/ffxi/images/...artaruseft.JPG
It is far too small to fit with the other concept arts which at the moment appear to be large monsters. Also, XIV already has an Eft mob, but then again the one thought to be German atm are the Dodo mobs from XI.
I can sum up the majority of this thread in one image.

First world problems.
Not acceptable for me and most of the JP players on the JP forums and I know lots on the NA forum & in-game who wont accept CGI only for E3.
YoshiP already said he has to think about the NEW players who never touched the game but will try to put in as much for current playing players as well and most of us want to see the actual in-game screen and not no fancy CGI movie which we all know SE's already good at doing.
As for this thread talk.
^^ THIS - it's not worth getting pissed off about it, was mad yesterday but not worth being grumpy over hours
BTW that Behemoth actually has subligar on.
The problem is that we were all using the wrong definition of "Artifacts." SE did not mean to be revealing Hidden "products of human workmanship", but rather the lesser used definition of "Artifact" meaning "residue" "remainder" or "leftovers" (source). By this definition both the 1.0 concept art and materials in the dats are, in fact, "Hidden Artifacts" (although I suppose one could then take issue with the word "Hidden").
I believe I've mentioned how grateful I am for the event earlier in the thread at least twice. Just because they've gone out of their way to provide something great for us like this fun little event, does not mean they should be allowed shoddy translations or hype based on untruths.
I have had enough of corporations lying to me to try to hype a product, and I don't want Square to fall down that cheap path, because as it turns out, I really like them and don't want them to use cheap manipulative tactics like other certain companies. I'll be happy to shoot down any fallacies if it means I can help them move in the right direction. It may seem like a big fuss over a small mistake, but I expect a lot from this billion dollar company and so should you. You, as the customer, are the lifeblood of the company, and they provide a service for us.
They did good by correcting the mistake and should be respected for it.
SE has a long history of not revealing information.
...thing is they really need to make it all very public this time in the interest of 2.0,
so hopefully that happens after the E3 reveal.
<--wonders where Question 4 is
How much are you guys expecting for E3?
...I'm going to prepare for a LOT of QQing. It's not like you can play the game at E3. Even if there are demostrations of gameplay, how much can you really get out of it without playing it yourself? The vast majority isn't going to be shown.
I'm not really excited about E3 I'm excited about the release of 2.0 and trying out the game for myself.
I don't expect everything to be in-game related stuff since they still have lots to work on but... per 2.0 Roadmap
----
http://static2.finalfantasyxiv.com/a...Ruwz9uAl2k.jpg
We should be able to see at least some of these stuff, don't you agree?
Character Creation, Some Dungeon, Battle, Graphic Engine is supposedly completed,
If different from current: Chocobo, Airship
Besides at this point Majority of 2.0 Basic functions and Content related should be nearly completed.. since Beta is around the Corner. They should be on there Testing and Finalizing Stage.. then Stress testing the New Servers. Beta is Nearly 3-4 months away.. and they are 1 month ahead of schedule for 2.0. I fully believe they have enough Resource to Mount an E3 Blowout to show the Crowd what FFXIV is really made of.
Question 4 is up~ and answered lol.
Yep. I agree. It seems like there should be quite a few things that could be shown at E3.
That's not to say that I think the 2.0 client is finished or anything, but the roadmap in Rein's message suggests that 2.0 is at the point where parts of it can be shown off. Of course, this roadmap could be wrong now (actually, I really hope that they update it very soon). But if the initial version of the 2.0 client really is going to be ready for download in November, I'd imagine that there's stuff to see now.
******
On an unrelated note, I've seen some people wondering whether the word 新生 (shinsei: directly translated as "rebirth" or "new birth") caused confusion in translation. As Rein already posted, in this case 新生 refers to version 2.0. That is what 2.0 has been called in Japanese from the time the PDFs were first released. Let me assure you (to the extent that you can trust a random person on the forums, at least) that no one on the translation team could have been confused as to its meaning. It has been as clear as day from the very beginning that 新生ファイナルファンタジーXIV = Final Fantasy XIV Version 2.0. In English, we shorten that to just "2.0", whereas in Japanese they just say 新生.
With that said, not all of the translations that the NA team posts are exact translations from Japanese. Sometimes the translations are exact, but often the NA team takes what was said in Japanese and rewrites it in their own words. Sometimes they even add in little bits of information. Honestly, that's a good thing. A lot is lost in an "exact" translation, and it can end up sounding robotic (even if it sounded just fine in Japanese). By delivering messages in their own words, the NA team gives their "personal touch" to communication, restoring the feeling that a real person is talking to you.
Considering that the Japanese Lodestone says that the blue panels hide "Final Fantasy XIV Version 2.0 Concept Art", and calls Hidden Artifacts a "Version 2.0 Concept Art Quiz", it's fair to assume this is new stuff. I'm not saying that to fuel debate in here, but rather to tell you to let the translator off the hook. He/She only told you what any Japanese reader would have assumed upon reading the original Japanese text.
French one looks like Bahamut

You guys sure love to hate this company and nit pick every damn thing they do wrong.
Grow up children.
A company is not a person.
A company is not your friend.
A company should be held to a high standard so they don't think they can get away with treating their customers like crap (Capcom and EA, I'm looking at you). They should be given admiration when they fix mistakes, like they did, but not defended when they mess up. Especially with companies as huge as Square.
Yeah how dare we criticize people who are charging us a monthly fee to entertain us
This thread is stupid.
You people whine way too much and won't ever be happy.
After 2.0 they should close down these forums and just focus on making a great game.
I don't see how its at all productive for Square Enix to dedicate any resources to listening to the irrational whines of a bunch of never-happy entitlement cry babies.
One of many pictures displaying an already seen mob design amongst a bunch of new ones doesn't warrant a hundred page flip out thread. Get a grip on yourselves.
That looks very similiar to FFX's Bahamut don't you think?
Heres FFX's Bahamut, compare it

You want to see me whine?
Alright. Fine. You're so committed to seeing it here we go.
BAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW! SQUARE DOESN'T HAVE NEW THINGS TO SHOW US THEY ARE HORRIBLE LIARS THAT DON'T DESERVE ANY OF MY MONEY! YOU'RE ALL WORTHLESS WHITE KNIGHTS BECAUSE EVERYTHING SQUARE HAS EVER DONE WITH THIS GAME IS WRONG! I WANT ALL OF 2.0'S ASSETS REVEALED TO ME NOW! I'm NOT HAVING FUN!!!
That's what you want to hear right?
Next time. Please actually read and think about our comments before jumping to your stockade of buzzwords. As I have said, many, times before. This isn't about the event. It's about standard quality and clarity of communication and the integrity of a company. Keeping good communication is NOT a waste of time or effort for ANY association.
In any case, the problem is fixed. I have nothing more to complain about the error.
