Glad to see that I am reaching my infertile-no-man-wants-me years. Lol. I exposed my ankle in public last week, it was scandalous.

I dunno. I could be with one woman forever and never pop the question just cause I don't like the idea of a traditional marriage. Of course I'm going to be upfront with that so they don't expect that it will be a thing someday when it will not. However when I'm committed I'm going to be all in. Just cause I didn't get it on paper doesn't mean anything to me. She'll be my wife to me.
"Love is not a whim. Love is not a flower that fades with a few fleeting years. Love is a choice wedded to action, and I choose you, and I will choose you every day for the rest of my life."
But this is also only speculation. I've not dated in years. Mostly because I didn't want to. Now mostly cause I forgot how to not be single. Who knows? Maybe it'll be like riding a bike and I just...pick the feelings back up.
We only bothered with a wedding to get conservative in-laws off our backs about "living in sin". And then did it as cheaply as possible just to get it over with. A marriage certificate is a piece of paper; if the marriage isn't in your heart and soul, the paper is worthless.
It's never weird to want to love and be loved.
Marriage at the end of the day now is merely a contract with the state now. At least in the west. Any man with logical sense who does their research will wholly understand it is NOT in their favor whatsoever to ever get married in the west. Ladies you're awesome and I know some of you out there are an absolute pleasure to be around. But we didn't make the laws. They were voted in by our legislators that we did or did not vote in. Sensible men now protect their hard-earned wealth and avoid the clear obvious risks of marriage by simply not marrying.
But as Renalt said. You never need a piece of paper to justify your attraction and companionship towards your significant other. I agree with this 100% As I have been in many long-term relationships with great women, and they know full well I will never marry. It just comes down to mutual respect for each other's decisions which is one of the vital pillars for any healthy relationship.
Also, 100% am for finding someone in a game if you both have great chemistry. Birds of a feather flock together. Same goes for people drinking themselves into a stupor at a bar who skipped out on AA the past night because their Grandma was ran over by Rudolph because Santa mixed some extra spice in his hot cocoa which caused his sled to crash on the freeway during Christmas morning which led to the craziest back up in traffic in history.
Oh, or the church couple who has a premonition that the world was going to end, and the only solution was to go blind reading some book about how to be a decent human being on top of an alter at the break of dawn when a giant meteor was about to hit earth and the priest kept telling everyone NOT TO LOOK UP or they all would go to ****.
In my opinion it is a good thing that people form relationships over the internet nowdays. Back then you could only find love or friendship in basically your own town. Which i guess lead to a bunch of really unhappy marriages etc. that were formed out of parental pressure or convenience not cause you had something in common with the person you would marry or "love".
Nowdays people can find easily other people who share their interests, who maybe likes games or movies or whatever interests you as much as you do. Which leads to a more stable and healthy relationship cause there is common ground besides just the kids binding a already broken couple together.
Matter of fact is that people treat all multiplayer games and social media often too as a place to find relationships. Be it friends or a partner. Cause well humans are, mostly, social creatures always out for that. The internet gives you a great tool of accessibility to people you could never even have met if the internet wouldn't exist.
Last point, who cares? It's nobody's business what others do. Keep your nose where it belongs. It's far more weird to stick your nose into other peoples business, things that don't even affect you in the slightest. Next time before you question others, try some self reflection and question yourself first.
