People not waiting for other people to finish cutscenes....why?

I don't see the why in not waiting for someone to finish a cut scene? Why is it so hard to wait 10 seconds or so? Let people enjoy the experience how the devs perceived it to be. I will be waiting for the cut scene person. If 10 to 20 seconds of my time can help make a good memory for someone in a game I will gladly give them that it's how I feel. I'm not better than anyone but I know when I started if I told people hey I'm new most if not all the time they waited for me and I was so greatful they did so I could experience the story and full effects of the dungeon. I think a bit of communication can go a long way. Being new to something seems to have gained a bad stigma in some games but not here as far as I can tell. Maybe I'm weird.

As a sprout i leveled as whm, seeing all the cut scenes and once when the cut scene ends i was surprised that no team mates around me. They all jumped in without me and died :) I am always waiting for the other players to be ready. That s a simple rule.
Same with disconnect, waiting a few minutes should not be a problem.
I am playing dungeons to have some fun during my time, so i am never in a rush and always have time to wait for other players if needed. And waiting is good for use all the nice game emotes too.

This is really a non-issue. If its a cutscene I havent seen before I watch it, whether boss is pulled or not. If its a cutscene someone else is watching I refuse to engage in combat until they are done watching it. This includes if I am tanking or healing. If we wipe, oh well. Shouldn't have pulled. Story>All else in this game.

Do you have a citation that the above mentioned is griefing? Personally I find it griefing to interfere with another players choice to watch an in game cut scene. Who do you think you are determining how long is an appropriate amount of time to wait to let someone else watch a cutscene? Lol what a joke.

The new TOS has explicitly outlined "aiding the enemy" as reportable behavior. Let me be clear, if you are in the cutscene it is 100% your right to watch it as you please. If other people want to wait for you then that is fantastic. Most cutscenes are not longer than 10 seconds so there really is no issue.

However-when it gets beyond those 10 seconds and drags on to 20,30, or even full minutes like certain ARR scenes:

You still have the right to watch the cutscene. You do not have to exit despite whatever flashes on your screen. You are immune to all damage and at best will miss a raidwide.

If your party pulls ahead and *if you are not watching the cutscene* and you decide to punish other people by letting them die then yes that is griefing. Simple as that. Do not underestimate people's ability to survive without a healer or tank.

If it is griefing to refuse to engage in a fight while someone else is watching a cut scene, then thats fine. I'll die on that hill.

Probably because we log into play FFXIV and not watch youtube? If we wanted to go watch youtube we would probably be doing that?

I admit I have done this, because considerable enough slice of players want dungeon to be fast. To those sprouts and healers, I'm sorry, my bad.
I have also eaten DF penalty leaving because of Healer/DPS running ahead of me and pulling. The latter has become more common lately, and I am not sorry for leaving you to die alone to boss.
