Asmongold's mom passed away.

I don't think Zack/Asmon will see this but my deepest condolences :(

Condolences to Asmon.

I don't think people understand how much his Mom was also his best friend and gamer buddy on top of everything else.

I am hoping the internet can leave him alone and let him heal.. other than well wishes that is.

In case people are fans of his/ appreciate the support he has shown FFXIV and people who have been brought over because of him.

He talked A LOT about his mom over the years on Stream and how much she meant to him and how supportive she was.

My grandmother passed away not long ago and my dad had a heart attack a few weeks ago too my own family are getting older and mortality is beginning to make itself known.
So I sympathize a lot with him especially with such a close bond.

Instead of responding to people who don't understand empathy in this thread. I would like to express my sincere condolences to Zack. Those of us who have lost parents empathize with you. It's not easy losing the foundations you have relied on and loved and respected your whole life. RIP to all Moms who have gone before us.

True, last thing I'll say about this that I'll add to the OP too that I've forgot to mention.

The mods on the FFXIV reddit was okay with a thread about it too, and I didn't see people flipping out about it ( granted they probably got downvoted ).

Really?

The subreddit will even argue that stuff like fanart and cosplay is off-topic ( albeit mostly only stuff they personally don't like ).
If they think this is on-topic then I think it's fair to assume it is on the forums too.
