Blue Mage might actually be a good thing.

but who does Sync'd lv 50 ex primal (and by enrage mechanics i mean like doing too much DPS avoiding ads on Fights like Ifirt and ramuh)
and even if you have a RDM or Tank help you then duo ifrit ex as an example the blue mage is just gonna be alright just there as dead weight as basically someone else does the work for you so you can have a chance at learning a spell.

First, there are people that would be willing doing those fights. I myself wouldn't particularly mind doing the hard modes for someone myself. Unfortunately I don't play enough to get good enough for extreme, so that's something I can only unsync.

And...what's wrong with unsyncing?! They wouldn't be a dead weight, but they wouldn't really do much. Several blue mages however would deal quite a nice chunk of damage on their own. Especially if they ARE overpowered as suggested. Reality is that there are many people that are sub-par in normal content. So long as they are trying, who cares?! So long as the blue mage will actually cast spells to trickle the bosses HP...who cares? It's always going to be those extra seconds. And in Garuda and Ramuh EX, it's actually going to be more than that. In Garuda you need to split the two adds which cannot be done solo by anyone other than summoner/scholar. in Ramuh you need to collect the orbs. Even as a lvl70 those attacks do become a pain after a while slowing down the attack so that I can heal, as a red mage. If the blue mage would collect orbs and have means of healing themselves, I'd get more time to attack which would speed it up. A far cry from a "dead weight".

What's with this double standard lately of "why solo play on an MMO" (even though you're not in a party every second you're online) but apparently HELPING out a BLU with their stuff is taboo and you'll be ridiculed for that?

If you're there helping the BLU unsynced, you've made peace with the fact that the BLU will be "dead weight" (because apparently a lvl 50 DPS doesn't do any damage on a lvl 50 trial. Guess we should put lvl 70 trials on hold until Shadowbringers comes out). Same way if you help out a sprout with Ifrit normal just to get it done for the story (and more often than not, they're being dead weight even when synced). How does that hinder helping them at all, and why should helping them be frowned upon as a social aberration?

i have no issue with unsyncing it can help people yes clear content for those who started late i also never said anything against unsync,its extremely rare people want to sync level 50 ex primal especially since jobs are incomplete till max level of each expansion (this might be only bright side of blue).

also you can solo garuda and Garuda ex easily with a lvl 70 no need for pet shenanigans of separating them just kill them ,chain mechanics do not appear when you solo Ifirit or Ramuh ex and you will automatically be target with the electric aoe to snap you out of the stun with ramuh,so a level 70 can solo lvl 50 ex primals but adding another player will be adding more mechanics like the chains and such.

its just this entire premise of FF14 Blue mage is extremely flawed and probably not as overpowered as they say it is.

I’m just over here like, “doesent unsynced ignore level and ilv reqs?” Why wouldn’t you take a BLU with you to break all the old content unsynced? Just bring a SCH and a PLD for mitigation.

You need to read more carefully instead of filling in the blanks randomly yourself. Separating them will save about a minute of time. It's virtually impossible to kill them when they are together, so if you solo or do not use pet, you'll just have to wait them out and eat the ultimate. Not a problem, yes, especially for a class that can just heal itself before Garuda will even become mortal again. But it eats time. With blue pulling away one of the mobs, they can be quickly and easily killed to save all that time.

Similarly with Ramuh. I specifically mentioned the orbs and the resulting increase in damage forcing me to heal more often as time goes on. That will be less necessary if there will be another person to collect the orbs as well. And by collecting the orbs they'll break the chain too...so yeah. Not an issue.

Probably a higher damage dealer than Red Mage, or at least red mage that is overmelded unlike me. And your point is?! You can "Skip Soar" in synced Zurvan too, but not every party can. That doesn't make those that cannot skip it a dead-weight. So those that cannot skip the adds for some reason will still very much take advantage of another person in the instance to make the run smoother/faster.

Feel free to make stuff up as you see fit. I prefer facts to fiction. This class may be a flop or a huge success. It may be overpowered or not (at which point...it's chance of being allowed into current content rises...so you complaining about that is hypocrisy).

I'm glad some are making an attempt to look at this with a positive spin. The game has so many jobs to play, and we have no idea how many new ones will be coming out with 5.0, all we know is "Multiple new jobs", we can assume like SB that means one pre launch, two at launch? Who knows.

Regardless, love it or hate it, its content, you can do it, or not. The fact that there are no less than 6 active threads complaining about it on the front page of the forum, is a little amusing.

Just my two cents.

(For the record, I'm interested in the concept and am eager to give it a go, not sure if I will like it or not.)

but you did this to me...
you implied i had a issue with unsyncing stuff in general and went off on a tangent when my problem is that blue would need to rely on unsyncing a bit of the lvl 50 content to easily learn spells
a job marketed as a solo job that needs to rely on pre-made teams.

Maybe BLU was made so that during 5.0 you can solo Eureka.
