What's with people saying Yokai-Watch looks out of place?

Marlboro's, Tonberries, Ochu's, etc are all staple enemies and get redesigned in some way for each game's universe, not straight up rehashed like a Compile Heart game.
XIV's cast of enemies having their models ripped straight from other games is a different matter.

Can you imagine how awesome it would be if XIV had its own Allagan stuff from an art designer at Square Enix?
I think you've been misunderstanding me tbh.

I don't necessarily find them out of place...more like...they are ugly as hell.

Meh it is out of place can't really deny that. I have no interest in the minions or mount just the weapons look okish.

Play any Final Fantasy game and monsters will look similar but rarely will they look the exact same. the FFXI monsters they recycle are clearly using the same skeletons and textures as their FFXI counterparts it's uncanny, the only thing they don't bring over is the mobs skillset they keep the move names sometimes but nerf the effects for the purposes of this game. While I don't really care that SE "rips off" monster models of one of their games and put it into another one of their games because they can and that they're still from the same franchise, it just baffles me that they didn't even bother to update the reused FFXI and FFXII PS2 monster models in higher resolution fitting PS3 graphics. It's so lazy but I'm not going to let it bother me much.

Also it doesn't surprise me that monsters in the open world areas are laughably weak now. In 1.0 they were dangerous there at least but now they're just annoying if they detect you. Must be a design choice to be friendly to newcomers to MMOs.

Yes, let's all complain about more content. How dare they add a fun event for us to enjoy!

As for some of the designs being ugly...Yeah, but what can ya do about it? :P Complain on the forums? Well the time and money has already been spent so might as well #dealwithit :D

fun is subjective. i don't think i seen any fun events, in this game.

What I want to know is how you guys are ever going to cope with the inevitable Kingdom Hearts 3 Crossover event... >.>;

I think the gear looks nice. The only thing that does look a little out of place I think is the mount. Looks sort of like the Eorzean equivelant of riding around in a Cozy Coupe lol. Not that that's a bad thing, I'll probably still use it.

Since you haven't figured it out. You voice your opinion so that they don't repeat the mistakes again. Who honestly thinks anyone was complaining to stop the event...

I think the issue a lot of people have isn't the lore behind however they are going to do the cross over, but the fact that the literal appearance of the weapons looks out of place. I feel like they just pop out too much. They look super fake in the style of FF14.
