The other alternative is kicking them and move on, and people seem adverse on that for using the vote kick for weeding out those specific players.
I agree, it's all about how you say what you want to get across and that's what most people fail to realize when communicating with other people.
Other people are not stupid, they're not idiots, they're people like you and I with brains.
If you come off as an a** but then you don't think you came off as an a**, it doesn't matter; you most likely sounded like an a**.
For the DRG issue, there's absolutely no reason to not have the buff on unless you're maneuvering through mechanics and wish to avoid being murdered by an aoe or the likes.
Am I going to tell someone to keep it on? No, I'm not their mother.
Now on the elitist thing...uh well...asking people to play the right way isn't elitist as Square Enix put things a certain way for a reason...people should stop being lazy.
I think everyone should do their best, in dungeons I always give tips. If they accept them great, if not eh but the times people listen have created some of my best moments in game. So I will always try and help, but it would be nice if people would try harder. This is my first mmo been playing two years now and have gotten pretty good imo. But that is because I always try hard, when people don't ;-; I don't know the solution not everyone cares, if someone figures it out lmk.
Very well said, and my thoughts exactly. I have made some friends in the game randomly in DF by giving them some tips and pointers. They were new and stated such, and welcomed the advice. Asked him what server he was on, and he was on the same as I was, so I sent him a friend request and helped him out for weeks and we became good friends. There are 3 types of bad players in this game: Those who are bad and willing to learn to get better, those who are bad but refuse to take advice to get better, which is completely selfish, and then there's the real ***holes who are just plain lazy and looking to get carried through everything who put in 0 effort to help out of spite
Dungeons I probably won't even make a comment. Too many have had some kind of immune reaction to me saying "As a paladin, you can use flash to keep all the monsters attacking you." If it's bad I just leave. There's only so much sucking it up I'm willing to do. For instance in A8 normal after hitting enrage and the 400 dps blm says "Alright guys, we've got to push damage in that last phase" and the 300 dps MCH says "yup come on guys, we can do it just have to try harder!". The game really has very little feedback to let dps'ers know how they stand. In fairness those two in A8N, they probably had no idea about their abysmal performance.
