Saving Limit Breaks as a coup de grâce is stupid.

As others said, if a bosses HP drops too low, I use the tank or healer LB just to show that it was there.
If they want to complain about how they can't blow 10k damage on a boss with 2k HP left, that's on them. It wouldn't be needed at that point either way as damage output seems fine.

Tank LB was used in Ultima Hard Mode (for the last set of Aetheric Booms) and T13 (for Teraflare).

Caster LB actually has current uses - the adds right before you hop into the wind in Sephirot EX, the add phase in A5S.

I've also seen tank LB used to cheese Final Liberation when Ravana Ex was still fresh. You ended up not needing to pass prey at all.
So it's not without it's uses.

In 4 man's I don't bother using it for the first boss because it's usually dead before LB is ready. Second boss it depends. And the third boss if the second bar isn't filled by the time the boss has 10% health I'll use it. And I try to wait for blood 4 blood before doing so

That reminds me, have we ever figured out if buffs like Blood 4 Blood, Surecast, Swiftcast and Divine Seal affect LBs?

If only more would do this... I main monk and what I see is people expecting me to LB a boss even though it ins't really helpful OR my personal favorite Bards using it on single targets because.... Bard.

By far the best use of LB in dungeons is by ranged on big trash pulls.

Last I have seen the only effect on LB is the average item level of the groups weapons.

The day we got Ultima hard mode a bunch of people in my FC sat in there forever trying to figure out exactly how to get past that last set. Finally I had the idea that maybe the complaints about Tank LB sucking made SE give us a reason to use it. That mechanic goes from rather difficult to super easy with just the tank LB.

I always use LB at the start of the second boss fight in a dungeon when on DRG.

What I hate more though is that the animations for LB1 and LB2 are boring and should just have the animation from LB3.

I like Bladedance's animation. As for LB3, They cleared wanted LB3 to have Job-exclusive flavor. But LB1-2 are Generic. Plus it would be strange to for a MNK to be able to channel Midgarsomnr and leap upwards :P

Only everybody's average item level controls the strength of the limit break. Cooldowns do nothing, stances do nothing, debuffs do nothing.
