Actually I've played a ton of mmos and it's funny you bring up friends, since you evidently don't have any, both of my fcs are made up of my friends on psn, people I have gamed with for 10+ years, so you lost in that regard. Last time I checked this was a community and SE listened to it's player base in some regards with tweaks and issues. You know like the recent changes to BRD and buffs for AST. Maybe you should take your own advice and just quit, because those who don't voice a concern or call for change, typically are the one's left behind.

I'm also not seeing a ton of people who WERE around here when those caps were 300. So I'm failing to see your point. Plus, the environment was friendlier without the capped currency. Ran dungeons over the last few weeks and most were friendly and had reasonable expectations for a DF group. Ran three dungeons today and all of them want perfect performance out of a randomly selected group of people regardless of gear level or job level. Duty roulette is supposed to help people get tanks and healers, not punish them by putting pricks in their party 24/7. However, that's the kind of environment SE is promoting with these mechanics.

And I'm sure if people complain enough they will increase it to 600. Which is why you will more than likely see people make threads everyday about it till it gets changed. I think it's already bad enough you can get the second strongest gear in the game from doing item level 145 dungeons. The esoterics should come from ex primals or something IMO. I think during HW i will slowly wane myself off the game and start looking at other stuff, I highly doubt I'll buy another FF14 expansion. Not because I don't like the game but because I don't like the carebear community :(

I dont understand why people are complaining. My alex normal gear wont become obsolete for months. Im saving for the eso weapon first. Thats three weeks iirc. So at least a month before I even start replacing my alex normal gear. The i170/180 gear is perfect for alts and I get it for free by working on my main.

Is it just the cap? What did people expect? 3.1 content is a ways off. Pacing the grind is a good thing for many reasons.

ITT: People who rush content are complaining that they can't have everything they want in the first day when the content is released.

I recommend you to play another MMO, a f2p one where you can get everything if you pay for it.

Probably because hard weekly caps are social death traps. The environment has gone to hell in less than 24 hours past patch release.

Don't see that happening. SE is still ran by a gamer and not some attorney that could care a less about games or gamers just the bottom dollar like blizzard is.
