OMG please remove some of the aetherytes, the world feels tiny

I swear sometimes I think I must be playing a completely different game because I am 100% certain that at one point these blue thingys just said "dungeon" until I discovered them but you're right - every single one of them even on my alts is now fully labelled with the correct name.

I'm just going to give up because clearly I am in some other world.

I know that the dungeon markers will say "Dungeon" if your map is zoomed very far out. The closer you zoom into the area, the names show up.

Maybe that's what it is then. I don't tend to zoom in very far - but anyway my point was he had to unlock it to have it open up in the duty finder so using "wow I just discovered where this dungeon is that I have been running forever" is a bit unfair. That he forgot it is understandable - 99% of the quests in this game are completely forgettable - but that's no reason to take out Aetherytes.

Well while I do agree that removing aetheryte won't solve the problem, it is true that for a world of this size, having THAT many aetheryte is a bit overkill x3

For example, costa del sol/wineport... Was it really necessary to have two aetheryte in the same map?

What world? Limsa, North Shroud, and Reverent's Toll? The duty finder window doesn't take up THAT much space.

Choosing not to use the aetherites is like choosing to be Amish in today's modern world. alternativel I wish SE would make some future zones that are bigger and require mounts to get across.

I remember in XII that there were hidden paths that can only be used on mounts (read: Chocobos). Maybe SE could do something similar and use it to go to other areas or as shortcuts for fate grinding.

I don't think above is a good example, those 2 places are splitted and you need to use the "boat" if not teleport.

Moreover, there are many quests triggered at Costa, many guild-leve(also for craft) there, and it was the popular FATE lv up gathering place.
Wineport was the gathering point of CoB and I think no one will doubt there should have an aetheryte previously.

In general, it is reasoneable that every big town has an aetheryte, every RPG have similar concept ^^;

XD Run around in Coerthas more, try to do every fate that pops~ I think you'll be asking for more of them.
