We cannot tolerate this...

Liked for support. Whenever I see FC mates complaining about someone in DF my first question is always "Did you try and offer them advice?" We have yet to run into the "you're not a tank, don't talk to me" mentality. Usually the people that are losing aggro and all are very open to suggestions. One of our officers completely taught a tank how to tank last night in Copperbell. Told him about shield lob, flash, the enmity combo, and how he should be rotating. Guy didn't have shield lob at the time (he hadn't done the class quest), but I'd like to think he went and picked it up. By the end of the run he was tanking far better from the sounds of it too.

I won't sit and argue with a jerk though. I'll usually make a comment to the person they're berating instead.

teehee, but im nice. Even though they always want to do SR's and are undergeared or not the right jobs for the 12 min speed runs they saw on youtube, hehe.

Nah, we good. My sticking point is that if I had seen that message live, I would simply assume that the organizer expected people to manage to avoid nearly all of Titan's avoidable skills, not something I would drag into /shout for ridicule and and then brag about later. Perception differences, I suppose.

To be 100% honest, I would most likely shout asking for clarification rather than complete troll unless it was a completely off the wall requirement to the point it sounds like a troll in itself.

I gotta say that ol pumpkinhead makes some damn good points.

at least it isnt to the point where people are requireing to have an achievement for having done something before.

It kinda is in some regards. I saw a Titan group forming that required you to have your relic (it could be on another class, but you had to have it) in order to go with them.

That being said, I don't really care what requirements people stick on things if they want to shout for their own group. I only care when the "you need to be out-geared for the dungeon you're about to run" mentality hits the DF groups.

I believe you are naive to think this is a small group of people. This is virtually everyone and it is contagious.
