Data Centers/World Locations Info from the LIVE Letter

Between the straw man arguments and the awesome ad hominem attack against me (read up on it), it almost seems like you want to put up at least an example of every logical fallacy in the book.

Question: Where would/should a global server be located. please tell me the difference between calling it global or naming it after the region it is located in?

Global would mean, everyone that access's it would have the same stability, sort of.
however people closer to this server would have a better connection than anyone who would be further.

Regional just means it's localised for people say in another continent other than Asia or NA, so the people there will have a stable connection and wont experiance any kind of problems very often.

Correct me if i'm wrong, they're not that much different in a sense.

Japan is where they would likely be located, as they were for ff11, and ff14, its about new players, that is it, if a new player sees the options:

NA
JP
JP
EU
EU
If they are NA, they will go to NA, JP will go to JP, EU will go to EU, it will happen.

If a ls that exist now goes to a JP server thats NA/EU (like mine), if will die over time, it just will, there will be little to no new NA/EU people, the same goes vise versa for any of the 3. The current population is to small to expect it to last any decent amount of time unless you never lose a single member for any reason, ever.

All people have been asking for, stated throughout this thread many times, is for World servers, located in Japan, we dont care where its at, at all, if its listed as "Global" or something, people will know they can expect people from all 3 time zones.

Its not about stability, it's about latency.

But the only actual difference between "global" servers and "regional servers," beyond latency, is the label.
