I had fun completing them. Luckily I already had some completed! I guess from what I can remember, the only quest that bogged me was the one with the female pirate in Outer La Noscea. Dem pirate slang, yo! It took me a while to make sense of it. xD

I am finding myself just taking tonnes of screenshots of various types, hoping something might fit the competition if I get picked... And looking through old screenshots for the same reason XD

I do wonder if Cycle 4 will have any level-gated content... I probably wouldn't try my hand at all of my characters again (as most of them are for roleplaying and most of their game-time involves RP more than playing the actual game xD) So I might just audition my level 50s for having more options to them (although Mynafryd was lucky and got THREE MATCHING NUMBERS on yesterday's jumbo cactpot, so she was able to get some more glamor gear... She's just a jun character xD.

Haha. The themes for the Youtube Cycle are pretty specific, so you might not be getting any useable shots. xD Not unless you are following themes from past Cycles anyway. :rolleyes: is that a hint? :confused:

Well if Anything, one of the shots might be a good Free Style Battle or Scenic shot :P Or it might be good for an area shot... or maybe a swimwear shot, or something... I ended up with a couple really nice shots when doing "Scenic Forest" (completely different themed and outfit between the two) and I hope I get the chance to use both xD Also been leveling rogue and taking screenshots like mad to try and get some nice shots.... they're so dynamic!

Shorter than usual, yes. Mainly because of how close Heavensward release is from right now. It was either forego Cycle 4 till after Heavensward or, host it anyway before the release but have a shorter lifespan.

hey i just lost in cycle 2, i got some questions, first i am also allowed to try again for another cycle, and does someone wana give me advice on why i fail to make the cast, like maybe something i can improve on my screens etc? if someone is kind enuf to give me some advice ;)

Cycle 4 is still up if you are interested. You can attempt to join that instead! And you still have a chance!

yes but i am not sure if i am to try again , i just lost and dont know what i did wrong. maybe if someone can help me out, did i do my scrreens in a bad way or something. is it worth it to try again? i dont know it seems i am doing something wrong.

I addressed one of your pictures that you submitted - in particular, this one;

From what I can tell, your submission was incomplete. Rules state that you are not allowed to use screenshots taken from cutscenes. As the loss sequence for the Steps of Faith is considered a cutscene, you are not allowed to use that. Again, no idea if that specific rule was changed, but it was present in Forum Cycle 3 and YouTube Cycle 1.

Everyone's pictures were great. Unfortunately I could only take 14 Models + Koriander. If you really want to be involved in ENTM you should audition for Cycle 4! :D

(Note: I also commented that it was okay you used a cut scene for your close up since this was just auditions. In the real contest cutscenes are not allowed.)

The action of this shot is nice, but some elements that make it a weaker shot are the framing and the heavy helmet on your head leaving your form lacking even the expression of hair from the backshot. If you had locked onto the target (Numpad 5 on the keyboard) you could have had an off-center shot at least.

Even though it's a "Scenic" shot, that doesn't mean you should be de-emphasized! Front and center like you are with most of you out of the picture is very underwhelming. You want to OWN the scene and add to the beauty of it using outfit choice and pose! Some scenics can have benefit from getting a friend to take the picture for you in first person mode so you can have an off-center shot.

ah ty, it seems i don't have the decication required for this lol. i was at least hoping to be one of the contestants then i would learn more about this thing, but i really don't think i want to try again for cycle 4, i thot i try my luck there and see how this works. lol.

Nah, I wouldn't say that your shots were bad. They were good considering it was just an audition. Anyway, the only thing I can tell you is that your shots have a lot of negative space which isn't favourable for you because you were applying for the YouTube Cycle and were up against a lot of vets that are familiar of how things work around here. Don't take it too hard, one bad critique isn't the end of the world. People just have different tastes and opinions.

You never know until you try ^^ This is my first time ever entering in ENTM and I got into the YT edition. Practicing taking and viewing your shots every so often will help you improve. I'm hoping I can keep up with the other contestants cause a lot of them are already vets at this!
Even if you don't make it you'll learn something and can always try again <3

The 15 models cast in YT2, Adeline, and myself are in a group skype chat now, so forgive the lack of posting here. Once Cycle 4 starts, the ENTM Threads will be more active I'm sure.

We have to keep SOME suspense as to what we're all madly taking pictures of before the beginning of the cycles... Yargh! I wish that I could just do so much, but I'm fairly broke ;-; Some items are out of my reach to finish outfits. And then there is getting just the right shots... So much suspense! So much pressure! I need to be AMAZING because the competition is FIERCE!

Yes, yes it is.

You see, I kept secret how many I'd be casting for a reason. The theme of Cycle 4 will be a celebration of A Realm Reborn - and a huge part of its success is the playerbase. So in the spirit of celebration, I had decided that EVERYONE who auditioned got a chance - as long as they followed instructions, submitted the required shots and sent me an email. Which everyone did.

Yay!

Although bear in mind this is STILL a 6-round Cycle...so the early rounds will be something of a bloodbath :D

An email will be coming out later this week sent to judges and models with the shot list, as well as instructions on turning in shots and how to access the Skype group chat I'll be setting up.
