+1 to your post.
Guess as this is feedback/opinion thread, becoming circular is kinda inevitable.

Sounds like African accent. I got no issues with it if Dawntrail is based on "Africa".
Whenever Wuk Lamat opens her mouth. And you guys said I just had to wait for DT and she'd totally be better lmao.

The voice did seem off, damaged and unnatural accent wise even for what they're going for, finding this thread kinda conveys the reason why.
Call it bigoted or what not but there is definitely an uncanny feeling when Wuk is present in cutscenes.
i personally don't think it's "off" because "her gender is wrong", i think it's "off" because it's someone speaking their native language with a non-native accent from outside their experience (because i've had the same "uncanny" feeling i think you're trying to convey here in previous expacs for similar reasons).
i don't think feeling that "something is weird about this performance/chartacterisation" is "bigoted" in and of itself, but it is weird to me that even people who had no idea this actor was a trans woman are suddenly retconning their own impressions to support pre-existing biases..
(just noticed the tags for this thread, y'all are killin' me with this twitter crap lmao)
Glad to play with german voices on this time.
Usually I put voices on English because the voiceacting is generally way better than the german one. But after having to listen to Wuk again in the first cutscene, I changed it asap. xD'
Now you can call me a bigot or whatever-phobe. It's not about identity politics. It's just about a person sadly being not very good at their job, which was already pretty clear when Wuk had her first appearance a few months ago. /shrug
