Killing 4 nodes and killing ADS is still possible, but yes, killing the Quarentine node and giving ADS Haste makes him pretty impossible since his moves become undodgable and High Voltage is nearly impossible to silence.

hello,
which comes first, Crystal Tower or Bahamut Coil?
i mean, which has the higher tier (in term of difficulty/loot)
Sorry for little noob question, but I just got party enough to try Coil Bahamut for the first time,
Could anyone explain the first ADS boss at start of tune-1? so my guess is that you have to have at least 1 PLD + 1 BRD on boss for rotation of silent him?
and then how to do with the add? it seem that in the rush period when add-just pop and we want to destroy it as quickly as possible, off-tank can't have enough time to build hate on the add, and it will go to attack DPS instead. DPS can't hold back either, because it seem we have to kill it before it reach the main boss or spawn more?
yeah, interrupt the High Voltage (make sure the silencers have enough Accuracy) and we tank the add right where it spawns, generating enough threat is not a problem if the tanks are good, they just have to know how to build enough aggro so that the damage dealers don't get it. and yeah, we also kill it asap but our dragoon won't switch (too much inactive time running between ADS and the nodes)
Kill the adds while they pop one at a time, you may have to give your tank a few secs to get hate. Once he pops 2 simultaneously just ignore them and burn ADS down, he should be nearly dead by that point anyway.
If your PLD is comfortable in a silence rotation then PLD+BRD should be fine but most use 2 BRDs for it.
Just spent the past eight hours dying to Turn 2 ADS.
First going in as Sch, later on switched to Whm. It seemed like no matter what I do the tanks keep going down. Unless both Whm keep a regen + medica 2 rotation at 100% uptime the tanks keeps getting three-shotted. Am I supposed to not cast cure I entirely and just spam cure II + medica + regen + Medica 2? = ='
Are you tank swapping when their vuln stacks?
Why would you swap at 5? You can swap at 3 almost every time with no issues. If your DRG/MNK are being killed by AoE, your positioning is bad (it's a cleave, and it applies the debuff....). I suggest you have one healer heal the tanks primarily and one the raid (more or less), and have the tanks call swaps 3 seconds early so you know exactly when to swap heals. Again, 3 stacks is 100% doable... there's no reason to take it to 5 unless you just screw up somehow.
I suppose we were doing something strategically wrong, without expert advice we would just bang our heads against the wall without knowing. Will try this week to swap at late three stacks.
From what I'm getting, both tanks are on the opposite side of each other, monk had to be on the side/behind to maximize damage. Since ADS is a... ball ... without a face, the monk couldn't tell... and that usually leads to a 3k+HP slap to the face ._.; And the drg was saying that at a certain angle he gets hit by full stacks of tidal wave. Also the line laser that shoots out like Ultima weapon's have a ridiculous uptime, people walked into it two seconds after the red AoE dissipates and still getting hit by it.
Think of the mob as a square... You can have the two tanks on two adjacent sides, and then your DPS can utilize the back/side regardless of which tank is tanking it at the time and aren't at risk of being cleaved on tank swaps.
As for the aggro thing, the first tank will build their normal threat and then when the second tank provokes it will put them at the first tank +1 and tank #2 can continue threat rotation normally -- it shouldn't matter whether you are switching at 1 stack or 10 as far as threat goes (Except for provoke cooldown and tanks living)
So I suppose both tank will have some stacks on them at all times -- still that beats getting hit for 1.8k a pop on ADS auto-attacks.
We got work to do then, our bard was pulling hate with bloodletter spams in the first 20 seconds, afterwards he had to stand around and just auto-attacking while on slience duty.
I don't see a reason to split the tanks, if you provoke after the cleave and then simply move in front of the boss he won't even turn around at all, and the other tank has plenty of time to move away due to cleave cooldown.
ADS in Turn 2....is given me troubles.
I don't know what to do with him. I'm a BLM who is usually the only DD mage in the group. Since my accuracy & dmg are high I never have an issue with magic res, it is the tank dying or one of the 2 bards dying to laser while trying to pass the root.
What to do? what jobs should I party with? always needs 2 bards for high voltage? what to do abut every tank I go with dying at 40% ADS health?
Tanks got full DL...why they die when ADS at 40% health? always around 40%...
Please teach me a strat that works :(
Once you understand the mechanics, it's execution. Though there is a DPS check, it's one that can be passed without ilvl 90 gear; same goes for tanking/healing -- I offtanked our first kill using Garuda's Gaze, Thormoen's, AF head/body, DL hands/legs, and ilvl 48-55 accessories.
You have to silence every High Voltage. Any combination of PLDs and BRDs can do this on-demand and off-GCD. If High Voltage is the primary reason for wipes, then consider extra coverage; 1 PLD/1 BRD per High Voltage, switching off with the other PLD/BRD.
You need to be able to seamlessly pass rot. Reconsider your positioning to make rot more foolproof. Any given laser should force as little movement from your party as possible. The more movement you require, the more opportunities for human error.
The fight should technically get easier as ADS gets lower because it uses more moves in its rotation, creating breathing room.
Also we have it so healers don't move when passing rot, the next dps in the rotation will come take it from healers so they can focus on keeping the tanks alive and the raid topped.
I see many FC's use this strategy and it just seems utterly pointless. It takes half a second to pass rot, you are essentially just gimping your healers. I'm sure if bard can DPS/Silence/keep Ballad/Requim up/pass Rot/ and dodge lines the healers can take the half of a second to pass rot. Just my 2 cents.
We are spread out so rot isn't spread early, and having healers run to pass a rot sub 50% is not very wise. You aren't a healer, so you have no idea what it takes to keep the tanks/raid(dumb dps that get hit by lasers or fire) takes. Wasting time to run over and drop Rot off is going to be at least 2 GCD's that could lead to a tank death.
Either way, the fight is a joke.
Healers (including me) have always passed the rot for ADS. Never had an issue. ADS just dies because its such an easy fight with proper execution. Healing is also pretty easy, keep Medica II up, and when passing rot and the tank really needs a heal then swiftcast + heal while moving.
Our healers always pass rot. We don't have them run far but they do move as well. Its just raid choice.
YAY ADS ded like the **** he is. So easy once everyone preform their role.
In turn 4 atm, going to give it a shot 2moro :). So have anyone 100% confirmed there is no loot/drops in Turn 3? We scouted every direction on the jumping portal(S) and could not find anything.
I guess SE would not give us loot for free.
Got a question...when you complete Turn 1 are you forced to do Turn 2 until it resets on Monday? Just wondering if farming Turn 1 is possible.

Due to a bug...
http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...ed_due_to_bug/
I'm not part of the party in the photo. Just linking a Reddit post I found.
Haha color me surprised that it was due to a glitched mechanic. Good on you for reporting it and whatnot.
Yeah. Moogle EU got world first due to bug >.<
Was just sharing the link. Saw it on Reddit and figured that if I linked it here people will go "OMGWTFBBQ. Someone got world first ahead of us! :(" then go "oh... that's how. :| Doesn't count!"
