There's nothing wrong with current La Noscea except the fact that it's like 2 hours to run from one end to the other with little variation (but you wouldn't be able to tell that from a trailer anyway), oh and maybe the water needs a little work. Version 2.0 looks like they downgraded La Noscea rather than updated it, and then copy-pasted a windmill ten times on the side of the road.

But its not a plains / plateau area, just look at it lol its so freaking green (without any grass?) and extremely closed up (not wide open expanses or the like).

Thats why my last recommendation is to change the general color pallet.

It is not even close to two hours to travel from one end of La Noscea to the other.

It doesn't even take two hours to travel from one end of the entire current game world to the other and that would include the boat ride to or from Limsa.

I really did think that picture was some sick joke.. These graphics are not cartoony, they are just bad. All the texture has been removed from everything. Every single fine detail emphasized by the Character creator has been smoothed out.

You can't even see highlights in their hair..

Crappy Graphics are crappy graphics. You don't release a Trailer unless you think it will look acceptable to players. I don't care that it's PS3 and I don't care if it's on a super low spec PC. You do not show this kind of worst graphics in the industry unless you for some reason think your players will be okay with it.

I think the main point was to give people the idea of what the game will look like on ps3, nothing more. We knew full well weeks ago that the ps3 version wasn't even alpha ready yet, but yet we kept asking what it'll look like. So I guess this was their way of shutting us up. I do think they should have labeled it better with "pre-production ps3 footage ahoy!"

While you are more than likely correct, my point is less so much that these graphics are unacceptable for a completed game than that these graphics are unacceptable to show to Aspiring players.

Any person who is thinking they can't wait to get their hands on the PS3 version of this game is going to see this trailer and instantly be put off. It looks way to poorly made. This trailer should never had seen the light of day. Especially without an Official statement that explicitly states that the game will not look anything like this.

I agree 100% they should have put a disclaimer on the video of some sort, but I again say they were just appealing to our demands which was to see footage of it running on ps3.

As for how it runs this is to be expected, all game programming starts at the pc, from there you port it to a console of your choosing. So with that in mind it's a given that the ps3 version will look choppy by comparison as they've probably only just begun porting it.

All those who are angry/sad/fearful/whatever about the graphics/direction/whatever the Developers are doing with the game, please direct all your frustration/hatred/concern/whatever to the DEVELOPERS. No sense in continuing arguments with the community over this stuff.
