It's a meme. That's it.
Since forever
It's a meme rofl
:squint: People don't get this is a meme? I'm confused, haha.
It would be interesting to see SE's stats on PCs vs Console. Like I wonder if all the top raiding guilds like Mr. Happy's crew etc include exclusive console players, or are they all PC, or a mix. In regards to time I wonder who puts more into the game out of the console in pc gamers. In ffxi you could type /playtime and get your total play time down to second, so I wonder if SE keeps this kind of data.
At the end of the day, i think having this game on PS4 made more good than bad, and it should be released in xbox as well.
Just look at the WoW and their culture running through the content like there is no tommorow, where in ffxiv its a lot slower and chill.
Yes, your posting of incomplete and fractured bits of data have proven me to be quite the below average player. It's almost as if, once again, one needed to be reminded those are random battles uploaded with no consistency, no rhyme or reason, as I do not play with a set group and only play with PUGs.
I'll mourn my broken facade while continuing to live up to my claims ;)
One year post-Rhapsodies of Vanadiel. Not until the game went into maintenance mode essentially. Though you couldn't buy physical copies of the console versions of Seekers outside Japan iirc.
Now THAT was a game where playing on PS2 significantly impacted player performance.
Yeah, while I'll defend the notion that PS4 players, ie myself, can be quite skilled, I'm highly suspicious of anyone who poo-poo's data collection. I've also found that, so long as you get to it early, it's highly likely you'll build a decent log record on PS4 just playing in PUGs with PC players.
True...
I'll contend that whatever advantages PC has on raiding, they're negligible.
I'm downloading the PC version now, and if my rankings suddenly shoot up 5%+ consistently over my PS4 results, I will eat my shoe.
If their PC is up to date in terms of power and performance, there is nothing to take getting used to. PC can use a controller just as easily if not easier then a console since can use any controller you like pretty much. And it was just in jest, since my friend said the same thing and now growls at me with a smile since they switched from PS4 Pro to PC and noticed a large improvement in their enjoyment of the game and gameplay.
All very true! But if they play on a different screen perhaps, that can lend a hand to a readjustment period. Didn't necessarily mean performance of the system. Either way, it's great that the game allows you to create a completely mirror experience on either system by way of allowing controllers and mouse/keyboard regardless of system. One of my favorite features, personally!
Our uwu group had 2 people playing on consoles. The only one who had an issue was the DRG, who could not find a convenient spot on his hotbar for a marking macro.
Other than that, it was fine. Aside from memes and trolling, I don't know anyone who actually locks PS players out. I personally think PC is better but YMMV. This whole "issue" is news to me.
People have been having arguments over PC/Console X/ Console Y/ Console Z since video games became a thing.
Humans are tribal, they gravitate towards people like them, it will never *ever* go away.
