to be honest everyone has been making fun of these forums since they were released. it's not just bluegartr doing it.

Ah, well I've only really been around BlueGartr, and dont get me wrong they're crazy, but my lord this is insanity.

What dark said... a very large portion of us find these forums extremely entertaining due to the nonsense.

Shining example of someone I would never (and I dont see how anyone else could ever) want to play a game with. Its like middle school sarcasm.
If you're in your teens or whatever then ok I understand you're going to act this way and its something that needs to be accepted, but the fact that (mentally) that age group seems to be representing a vast majority of this game is what worries and disappoints me.

Lol and you really think this community is bad? If they didn't have these forums, people would complain elsewhere on fansites about the lack of big announcements lately.

This is the official forum, I know I cant control how you folk complain about everything, but I am saddened and disappointed that this is what people will find if they look at the 'official' forums.

I dont remember saying I wanted to be a "Better person that doesn't perrrtake in the forums" but I would think that it would be anyones goal to at least be civil and mature while posting on a forum.

Maybe I am in an archaic form of thinking by assuming forums could exist without snyde sarcasm or internet memes?

I don't know what you guys are talking about, these forums are excellent. They provide hours and hours of entertainment. I laugh 90% of the time I'm reading them, the other 10% is "cocos a$$ in my face" posts that are confusing, but I end up laughing anyway.

agreed. i can't tell you how many times, each of the ls's i have been in over the last year+, have sat and laughed at the rude responses to simple questions. i know many of them have joined conversations just to stir up arguments because they got to be too funny to let die. the amount of hate coming from both sides has been pure gold as far as reading pleasure has been concerned.

lol Ok i'll take my cue from the others and just read and be entertained, I'm just frustrated that this is where the feedback and suggestions for the game are coming from ><

oh i agree it's not good, but when anyone posts any feedback no matter what it is there is a flame fest from either side. i've heard many great ideas in game, but they would never make this forum because they don't like to be attacked for any type of suggestion.

i've just learned to follow a few posters on here because they keep me laughing at them. they also show me where to go for the post with the biggest amount of arguments because they are right in the middle of each of them.

It's definitely fun to stir the pot here. There are definitely some legitimate posts with great ideas, at least the reps weed through the BS and can pitch ideas to the devs.

lol no no no suggestions get the same response from the people on the forums. it's rude and pure comedy to watch. you do realize general discussion about ffxiv would encompass suggestions too right? oh wait no, no you don't. most people put a suggestion in general discussion to get a general feel of what others think about it. whether you want to admit it or not it is covered by the general tag. it is for posting a general comment and getting feedback.

No it won't, the developers aren't going to take obscene, irrelevant arguments into consideration when developing the game. Besides, most MMORPG official communities are in fact the same as this one. You have the fanatics on both sides, the moderates and the people who chime in every now and then to pitch their own thoughts. Besides, this community is delivering appropriate feedback in most of the topics that aren't in General Discussion. Using this one extreme example as a representation of the community is hilarious.

The Forums provide more entertainment than the game itself. In fact for some I believe the Forum has become the game.

Im not saying the developers are mentally handicapped and are going to take your I HATE GOOBBUE AND MOOGLES THEY ARENT MANLYYY I WANT AK47S IN THIS GAMEEEE.
