This actually does happen when we're learning English in Japan. English has quite a bit of nuances that doesn't make sense at first, much like people learning Japanese won't get a lot of the slang that people use these days.

translation: HAIHAIHAIAHAIHAIHAI HAI HAIAHAAAAAHAI HAI lol so much yes.
#XIVLive Q: Do the developers think the rate in which players completed Dzemael was fast? Slow?
A: The community team predicted the first clear would be after about 8 hours. I predicted 3 days and it turned out it was pretty much that. So I think it’s just right. Ifrit is even harder, so good luck!
Q: How did you get started in the gaming industry?
A: Well, I wanted to write story scenarios to begin with.
I worked my way up from a large MMO-title and became director after that.

well there will be translation later for sure, just posted for us to read rather than watch, on the bright side he has shown some concept art and gameplay. Not like you need to understand what he's saying to see that.
As a "professional instructor" I'm sure you have heard about the law of unity. Doesn't matter where the fuck you are, you act in a professional matter in both public and private, online and offline. Otherwise, you'd get in a shitload of trouble.
So, I am doubting your profession, either that or you're just a substandard professional that doesn't really have a clue about what he or she is doing.
Edit: I pride myself in being as blunt as possible in my profession so I'm acting the same, don't worry about that.
And I haven't heard "We're looking into it." a single time today. :D Oh wait...
So who's the guy reading the questions?
Will the ragers please stop flipping out?
So you have a class to teach or attend, or work to get up for in a few hours - you made the decision to wake up for the broadcast - you did.
They are providing English interpretation, regardless that some of you really strongly don't like the format - but they are providing English interpretations.
You made the assumption the broadcast would spoken be in English.
See it from their perspective - why would the fact that you cannot speak Japanese prevent you from participating? You can still tweet questions, which they will interpret from English to Japanese, and they will still selectively answer questions and post English interpretations of the Q&A's back to Twitter. You also still get to see the videos and pics they are displaying in real-time.
You're not raging because SE has done wrong again - you're raging because you're used to being catered for English first, and having to deal with communications where English is the second language you are finding it difficult to deal with.
If you don't want to participate just because the spoken language being used isn't English, stop wasting the time and emotional energy of the rest of us and go back to bed.
Please.
Seriously. Your English-centric raging is considerably embarrassing.
#XIVLive Q: After the claiming system change in patch 1.19, I'm afraid everyone will be power leveling each other. What do you think of this?
A: It depends on what you consider power leveling. I just want to make sure friends are able to help each other if they want to challenge content together.
Q: I hear rumors about moon phase or the direction you face giving special effects to crafting. What's the truth?
A: I know it's talked about in forum, too. Hmm. Maybe some things are better to be left unanswered.
yoshi looks like my mother-in-law btw orz they even talk similarly (mother in law smokes cigars/cigarellos lol)
YAY ITS OFFICIAL WE CAN POWER LEVEL EACH OTHER!

GO FK YOURSELF YOSHI
I thought someone said they weren't going to take questions in english? Ah well it was fun tuning in the artwork was beautiful. Still confused about what Bard will entail other than harp bows but the JSE is lovely. I hope they show white mage later.
Can someone ask them if there is going to be any type of player housing? -_- I totally detest twitter and the idea of learning to use it makes me feel ill. <_<
Someone ask for meh please? :D It's kinda been the only thing I've been wondering about the last few months. I can't go back to sleep. T_T
I can't even watch it. Keep getting "an error has occurred" when going to youTube to watch. :(
I don't have an issue merely with them broadcasting in Japanese. Nor do I necessarily have a problem with them using twitter.
What I have a problem with is that this live letter was announced a week ago, and likely planned well before then. Yet at no point in time did the English community representatives feel the need to tell us that the video would be only in Japanese and that we would have to follow on Twitter if we wanted to get any form of translation.
This is necessary information, the English representatives should have given us.
#XIVLive Q: On the Lodestone, level 51-60 recipes were posted. What is the meaning of this? Will the level cap be lifted?
A: Whether the cap will be lifted is a separate question. We posted these recipes to show off some new items as well as the necessity for equipment for high level and crafts that level 50 players can gain experience from.
Q: Can you tell us about the new class system?
A: For the class adjustments, we are planning to have every class possess their own identity. Also, actions with multiple elements and facets to them. In regards to jobs, you will be able to take on job quests from level 30+, and once you complete those will you will be able to use those jobs.
Oh nooo don't say that. D: You'll bring about another wave of the fanboy wrath of Rajain with your twitter hate.
Honestly I don't know either but...we're getting an extra 200 slots today after the patch so hopefully housing will follow in the near future and hit maybe next year. ; w; But yes, a time frame of when that will hit would be lovely.
Voldemort Britney won't stop looking at me.
