Alexander loot systems sucks :/

Well at least Yoshida got Savage Loot right. Not to sure about the way the Gordian Manifesto works. If you get a piece of gear, you shouldn't get a Gordian Manifesto. I'm guessing even if you get gear, you get a token.

Even then savage loot is the way normal alexander should have worked. They could still make adjustments.

I have no problem with that.
at least I won't be frustrated from not getting anything for two months because my gear just refuses to drop.
this is probably the best solution they've come up with so far

pretty much the same as coil with an extra.
those lucky enough with loot will always gear faster. token or no token.

The Alex loot system is great. I love it. I don't really understand people's complaints, although most of the people complaining don't really seem to have free company members who will gladly do turns they already have loot from like I do. I have 2 different characters and yesterday I only had 1 piece left to get out of 8 total.

I did molten core back in 2005 with 2 drops per boss an 40 people to gear plus class specific gear for classes my faction couldn't even use and still support it.

Shut up about Coil, it wasn't that bad.

hmm it's probably just me but I'm already fed up with Alex cause I ran it so many times last week that I just cannot see it this week anymore... Don't mind that I'm falling behind, this is just getting boring and too much of a chore (as in repetitive).

I must be favored by RNGesus since in the second week of Alex release I got tokens on all 4 floors in one day, within 3 runs of each floor.

Everyone wants to just be handed things. The loot system is thousands of times more convenient than the random drop system, yet people still want something simpler. If the game was "run it once, get your gear, and you're done" then we'd never have people running the raid multiple times. It's a shame only the vocal people are the ones who wish to complain while the rest of us are content and quiet with the system as it is, in fact probably find it too easy. I get bored 2-3 days after the reset because I've received all my weekly drops from duty finder of all things.

alex normal token drop is random though. how is that better than the other random drop system?
I say it's worse, because instead of needing to win only once you need to win more than once depending on the type of token.

alex savage loot system on the other hand, is just perfect.
which is what we've been asking for.

Several A4 runs today. 5-6 cranks dropped (what I needed). I lost every roll and our last run where I was guaranteed the drop, no crank dropped.

I agree I hate the loot system. I've never had good luck with RNG.

Duty finder + new loot system = really sucks.

You know how I know this system is currently flawed? Well try doing 12-14 runs of each Floor and having a roll of about 1-30 each on each item. A2 was my lucky run this week with a roll of 89 on a bolt. I have fallen to the wrath of RNGesus, and i must have really pissed him off this week.

I can finally attest to this token system being garbage. I spent my evening doing a dozen A1 runs for either a Pedal or Bolt. I started off with a light party consisting of some static members needing their loot too. The first 2 runs they all got their loot, after an additional 6 runs of me not getting anything they bailed, so I did an additional 4 runs in DF by myself. Whenever a Bolt or Pedal dropped I rolled below 30, every single time, and when i finally gave up on rolled on a chain that is useless to me, 98. Honestly I just feel disgusted to be gutted so hard by RNG.

Not counting the many, many wipes due to the over abundance of french players on my server. I did about 10 kills of A1 today and 5 kills of A3. Half of them dropped the loot I needed and I lost every single roll to randoms.

I know square-enix need a solution to people waiting for weeks for their loot to drop, but forcing people to compress those weeks worth of runs in to a single week just to ensure they don't miss out on a weekly drop, is beyond stupid. It forces static teams in to lengthy grinds to ensure all their team members get their loot, leaving less raid time for actual progression in savage or ex primals. If those players instead decide to farm outside their static team they're met with a new team every time with seven new people after the same loot. That's before you factor in the bad players who lead to failed runs.

The solution to a bad RNG grind isn't an even worse RNG grind, you got it right with Ravana and Bismark why not continue that system in Alexander.

Ravana loot system is on point. Drops gear, and tokens if your item doesn't drop.
