Sorry if that bothers you, I do it for a few reasons.

One, it 's not fixed. The things they have hinted at as solutions only sort of address the symptoms and not the actual problem (at least as I and many others see it). I will continue to bring this to light until it is at a state where new players can have the ability to get a house if they want one when they get the money. This content should not bar people out of it from simple availability issues. They can do so much more with Personal Housing if it is instanced than they can do in a communal setting. (FC houses are fine in the current setup though)

Two, I'm trying to have one thread going where people can find new details regarding this topic. Unless you would prefer me to create a whole new thread each time there is a new tidbit of info. Like the RMT thread, people can sound off and find relativly current info here instead of spread throughout 50 million different threads. If you look at the OP I update it with new info and what we have is minimal to say the least and at the time I created the OP the last official response we had was "Its working as intended" The issue as Yoshi-P put it was he thought people were worried about how much the houses cost because that was the big outrage in the forums. Money dont mean shit if you log in 15min after the server goes live and the plots were all sold in the first 10min. Next thing we heard was more content being added to housing and no mention of ANYTHING about availability concerns. It wasnt till recently that there was even a hint at addressing it.

So, if you would prefer, I will start creating new threads for each bit of info on this topic I would like to discuss.

Housing needs a complete revamp.

its an "ok" design not great..not even that good, but plenty of suggestions have been made, its up to se to decide if an ok only design is good enough i suppose.

No harm in the updates op, you are correct the issues still exist.

The third step they mentioned should have been their first step.
Cough up the bucks se.. expand to accomodate your playerbase #1 priority imo :)

On my server Zalera a single FC owns 8 FC houses all are owned by one person using his alts. So, with his personals he has a total of 9-10. This has also caused mob rule as the FC is just buying everyone out boasting 1.6k members on the smallest server he will not allow his members to help many other fcs at all and will have his masses harass people til they quit the game if he doesn't like the person so now he can control the entire server via their "mob rule" and they have been. What is going to be done about this because it is ruining an entire server. This has been ongoing and anyone on the server knows about it and is very upset. Now I am the current target for reporting and was told by the GM told to avoid them, not possible so i can not play or lock the house and hide... this is just crazy
I am now told to go out and try to enjoy the game even though each time its happens right away and I have to report again. The FC seems to have more control over the server than the GMs at this point. I have no idea where to go from here for any type of resolution, leaving the server helps me true, but others will continue to suffer this treatment. This is a very serious problem.

Up until now, his last comment regarding availability was that it was fine and people were only complaining about the cost and the cost fine too. Right from the outset I saw this availability problem and tried to bring it to peoples attention but they were too focused on the cost of the housing. Over time, cost wont matter cause eventually everyone will have money. Cost also wont matter if there is nothing left to buy. Hence the title of my OP.

Honestly, this right here might go a long way in helping players who can't get housing, not in terms of owning property, but they won't be locked out of Chocobo's/Gardening if someone who isn't actively using those features on their property can invite them and share.

This feature is totally needed although I wonder what the difference then will be between a personal home and a FC home other than the UI and buffs. (I don't have a house or FC house so I dont know if you can build an airship in your personal home.)

Airships are for FCs only. There's a reason that 4 people are required in the workshop to advance a project, lol. It's meant to be a group activity.

That's why I was wondering. But I also heard you can invite people from outside your FC to come in and help craft. That could easily be transferred over to the personal home.

I hope they put in all the QoL fixes they talked about and then doubled the existing wards THEN added Ishgard housing with an equal amount of plots as one of the three main cities. Then there might be a hope for other players to get a home. But watch them all disappear an hour after they are released. One QoL they NEED to implement is to restrict the buying of multiple houses for the purpose of upselling.

I should also point out that you access the company workshop from the same "door" that you access Free Company rooms - so they'd have to change the interface a bit to allow a personal house to access a workshop.
