Marriage Quest finally on the horizon! Yay!

The silly thing about this is it's a game who wants to Marry who really shouldn't matter
And most girl characters are guys In real life and visa versa so what if this guy wants to marry his actual gf or wife who also made a girl character how is that wrong ?
Everyone has their beliefs though whether same sex couples should be allowed to marry or not.. But in all reality this is a game an online experience where people should be without hate and looked down on for their race color or sexual preference love is love
Shrugs and thats my opinion ^_^ hope everyone a grand day and looking forward to seeing the marriage quests (^_^)b lol

And that's what YOU took from her post, but she was not saying that. She clearly said she doesn't like that kind of behavior from anyone. Regardless, it had nothing to do with the topic of SSM in THIS game yet you still felt the need to fuel the flame and derail the topic more.

Personally, I love the idea of marriage in game. At worst it's a fun diversion, and at best it's a great way to indicate in-game partnerships. I'm looking forward to it myself. That being said, I do have an ulterior motive. Often when weddings are announced in games like this we get cute clothing to go with it. A handsome tuxedo for the boys and an elegant wedding dress for the ladies is well worth waiting for.

Firstly, I never said that she only disliked when "gay" people did it, I said she's suggesting that gay people do it more often; which she says with her own words in the first two sentences of her post -- and then she goes on to say "Gay people feel the need to "show off" as a way of "rebellion." -- That's her singling out and generalizing a group of people based off their sexuality -- it's not about how I perceived her statement, it's about what she explicitly said; It would be like me saying "What race do I see robbing stores more often? Black people, because they're most violent race!" When being black doesn't make people violent and being gay doesn't suddenly make people rebellious, or lurid -- It's perpetuating a stereotype that quite frankly, isn't true.

Everyone is responsible for their own actions as individuals, regardless of race, gender, sexuality or creed.

And lastly, if anyone is derailing the subject it's you by attempting to split hairs and defend someone's post based off some straw-grasping argument over semantics. (Not to mention, not actually even trying to come up with any counter points beside "not ah!") There is a lot that we don't know about the system. Sunseekers as far as I know are polygamous where one Nunh gets all the females in the tribe. I saw a bunch of interracial couples/prostitution hints in the game, but is it OK for it to go beyond that, into marriage?

If a Tia gets one wife does he get to call himself a Nunh? would any Tia be OK with just one woman and to never be a Nunh?

Can interracial couples have children?

Just putting a church in game and saying "Here's a marriage system!" seems pretty half assed to me.


PS: Add polygamy to the hyur lore, please. I'm not even joking. I want a harem.

I am a disabled woman IRL with MD (Muscular dystrophy if you didn't catch that) and I play this game to stay in contact with ppl and yes the forums have people and I share my opinions with but apparently my voice doesn't matter so guess staying in my house away from ppl like you is the best choice I made in life. I think to prevent abuse where people are only in it for the items, only people who are married irl should be allowed to marry in-game.

You'd be required to fax a copy of your marriage certificates over to SE as proof before they let you go through with the ceremony too.

People who aren't married in real life should also be allowed to get the rewards.
Some of us don't see the point (at least for us, for couples its great) of marriage in a game so marrying strangers/friends should be viable!

I feel like SSM is a necessary feature if you plan on adding Marriage in game cause it goes beyond the LGBT community. Like others have said many ppl play their opposite gender just cause. Doesn't seem fair to exclude them (or anyone for the matter) from content based on the character they chose.

That'd be like SE being like "Only Hyur can get married!!"

No, to become a Nunh you have to either defeat a current Nunh or find some females willing to leave with him and found a new tribe...which wouldn't be many, because a male who couldn't win a Nunhship on his own merits would be poor breeding stock.

Actually, based on the lore we have, I don't think Seekers raised in a traditional tribe would even understand or desire the concept of monogamy...which would explain why we see so many Miqo'te prostitutes.

A more interesting question is can these interSPECIES reproduce. They may all be humanoid, but they are not all "human" in the way that we understand ourselves. If they think that unions add value to the game, then allow those unions to be between any two player characters. I don't know why everything has to be so freaking polarizing.

Some people like to role-play and enjoy a union in game, but all SE really has to do is provide a recipe for generic rings wearable by any character and then let us do our own ceremony or whatever. Why they have to make it into a whole big thing is beyond me.

I don't care if i won't be able to marry my bf, but i want players to be able to preside over the weddings! Please SE! Tl ;)
