Allagan Gear getting buffed to ilvl95.

There are people in my static who do not have a +1 which is actually ideal since certain myth pieces are bigger upgrades for some jobs depending on whatever allagan pieces you find. We have 1-4 on farm.

Looks like videos don't teach you this huh.

Also since there is a lack of people here with insight on what it takes to clear T5, I asked some people on tonberry who have cleared T5 what they think is faster and they laughed at me. I should of made a video.

Since only a fraction of gamers, are clearing turn 4.
Many can't even get past Titan, without buying wins; so they obviously can't even do coil.
Even among those, that killed Titan, many of them aren't even interested in such raid content.

Entitled much? You need to earn top-level gear.... not have it handed to you. If you want that gear you need to bust some tail getting it like everyone else.

"Entitled-gear" should be a lesser value then top-end raiding gear.

Having the best weapons in the game being only obtainable though RNG is not the direction I expected them to take. Twintania will become much easier over the next couple months with increasing gear and exp. Still, You could beat t5 every week and not see your weapon for weeks, maybe months. It isn't something you can farm like the primal weps. This is obviously not something that will appeal to the casual players SE supposedly wants.

The other i90 options will do fine and allagan would be a minor upgrade, it would be vexing to see bad rng but it's not the end of the world.

Besides I don't believe that's really the concern of people here, as what they're really mad about is that they actually have to do coil to get BiS now, actual hard content. People who can demonstrate more ability than them will actually get a chance at better shinies, which hurts a lot of people who don't want such distinction between capable and incapable players so they can enter WP pugs without judgment.

The concern about T5 being quicker is just a facade really as the idea is a joke to any coil runner who doesn't play vicariously through youtube videos.

after 2.1 and 450weekly cap an 8man group can make 8relic+1 in 2week (one for each player) but only 2 allagan weapon (and not sure you get the 2 you want)
it's 4* more time if your group is F... lucky and get the 8weapon they want in a row

This will add value and a sense of accomplishment for even getting the allagan pieces.
As they stand they are replaceable, if not by primary AF1 body and legs, by all pieces of AF1.
Allagan gear is the only gear you seriously have to work for in the game it should be the best currently.
All it takes is one login per week, maybe 30mins to an hour a week for however many weeks, no need to play any more than that and you have AF1.
It should be the other way around from how it is now which is why I'm so happy with the update.
AF1 SHOULD supplement Allagan. Not how it stands with Allagan supplementing AF1.

Also, another friend brought up another good point, they should have mentioned this a bit earlier than they did so people wouldn't be so shocked about it. Heh...

The way I see it, relic+1 is already a very good piece for casuals, if casuals aren't gonna be setting foot into coils anytime soon then having coil drops slightly better won't affect them. look at it the other way, SE also wants to retain hardcore players, which usually stick with the game the longest (see ffxi).

It's about time they make people work for BIS running end game content. I've always wondered and still wondered why it was so easy to get gear from tomes on par with stuff currently in the hardest content.

Should just eliminate tomes altogether and make everyone work the same content towards the same things. Of course there will be people who cry cause you know.. they cant spend X hours like the next person but want the same thing.

er anyone know about relic? i mean for example killing titan in hard mode and moving on next step , but not reaching 2.1 it's still going to be there? not like just waste of time to look for titan party and doing dungeons for stones?

Did they confirm armor or just weapons yet? (not sure the way to only see dev posts)

Because some people are able to see past what people like you can. Af2 has been labeled as the job gear that will be in 2.2, so call the current myth gear we have whatever you want but it doesn't change the fact that 2.2 is af2 according to the devs themselves.

Some people see current myth gear as af1 or af +1 because it obviously can't be af2 when that gear isn't even in the game yet according to devs.

Ive seen groups in coil that cant make it past the 1st 3 phases of T4 after trying for hours each night & Ive also seen groups that wipe to the 1st few phases, 10 minutes later get to 5th phase, then after 45 minutes beat the turn. I'd be fine with this if there is a way to upgade our current relic to ilvl95 too. I don't really care about this casual vs hardcore argument, as I'm in the middle of the spectrum. What I do care about is options, and having the best stuff acquired via RNG and off of turn 5 would deprive people of choice. It should be hard to get relic ilvl95 if it were to go down that direction but choice is what keeps the money coming in these days, not hardcore players. Casuals control markets because HXC players will jump ship the moment they can't locust content anymore, and the remainder of the playerbase are either semi hardcore or casuals. I'm pretty sure SE will give a way to get our relics to ilvl95 to give people who aren't in huge FC's/lack time to play/organize/etc a way to get their weapon too. Anyone who thinks hardcore players are what make the games money are still living in the MMO mindset of 10 years ago.

Absolutely THE stupidest thing I have read here today, Nobody is "FORCING" you to do shit, honest question, why are you playing this game if all you have is 20 minutes a day? seriously, whats the point, you should know a game like this requires more than that if you want to accomplish anything. It's simple really. Artifact Armor is the armor you get when completing the respective job's story quest line. Relic Armor is the armor that can be bought for Mythology Tombs. "AF2" is some job specific equipment yet to be released.

That's what I was saying if you read what I wrote or even looked which post I was quoting you on. You posted against someone else who thinks of myth gear as af1 and is a supplement to allagan gear. You said that af1 was considered ilvl 50 gear, which considering af2 hasn't been released yet myth gear is either af1 or af1.5.

Now if for some reason you think af2 armor won't be myth gear then I have some bad news for you considering Square seems to be doing everything in their power to keep dungeon currency the same as WoW has theirs. Meaning because you can get af1 through myth now....where do you think af2 will come from? Because it sure won't be coming from turns 6-10 in coil when they even showed off new coil sets to go with those turns.
