Everything you just said can be handled using a simple macro. In-game macro to send a /fc, /shout, /tell message, place that macro button on the action bar, simple macro to press that action bar macro. You can open close logs by dragging the icon to the action bar as well. Lots of ways to do it - and I don't mean/want to argue, just saying the AFK timer is a bad idea.

Either way, SE just needs to fix the issue.

Come on now, I love this game but these login issues are putting a terrible taste in my mouth. This company isnt under a small umbrella either...... where is the support.....and awnsers for your loyals who have suffered through this and are still here?

Been trying to log in for over 3 hours now. This is a joke and the worst part of it is that according to the FFXIV status page everything is fine.

According to the launcher it says this issue is fixed. It is clearly not fixed still getting error cannot update NA/EU server list. Instead of saying in the news on the launcher that the issue is fixed how about you actually fix it. That would be awesome. World I'm from doesn't matter since all worlds won't update. FF 14 is an awesome game how about you let us play it a little bit.

Can you blame people for afking? They all go threw what we have to to get into the game. Why would you want to go through that each time you log in? SE has created this problem and other players have to deal with it. I for one am never logging out again. The people who stay logged in are having a great time and not bitching on the forums all day long.

I just keep trying. Usually within 10-15 minutes i'm in.

I have a solution:
If all of you who are threatening to quit or give on the game would, that would ease up the servers.

It seems when you get 1017 then lose NA/EU server list, log out completely for 5 min, then reconnect and you get 1017 again. Kinda like SE implemented a timer for logging into the game, LOL.

This would be so sad if it's true...
