While being the healer with the less dps of them all wich is funny when you think about it.

Tldr shadowbringers ruined everything. Despite being one of the best expansions it was one of the worst with jobs changes. There was a whole patch bard songs had no buffs and scholars energy drain didn't exist. Idk what they were smoking but scholar and healers as a whole got gutted and left on the curb to rot. Its also when they decided to lean into machinist being a tool based pure dps but also the weakest job in its role for 3 expansions.absolute cinema
Also monk got nothing good that expansions and between 5.4 and 6.0 it was left feeling like a husk of a job
???
Blitz. We got Blitz. Which together with the faster-CD 3-step PB was the best thing we got since making TK usable as more than just an Execute/pre-cutscene skill and Greased Lightning therefore a real resource instead of a pre-fight tax in late Stormblood (then ruined by Shadowbringers, which then removed GL too after realizing they'd neutered any point of it existing).
Endwalker MNK was straight up better designed (thematic, distinct, smooth but interesting in practice, more capable of nuance except perhaps in its opener) than Shadowbringers (especially late Shadowbringers) Monk.
Endwalker Monk was fine. Dawntrail Monk was where things went increasingly dull and mismatched. (Well, that and maybe in the transition from late Stormblood to Shadowbringers.)
Edit: Misinterpreted "6.0" as Endwalker (as a whole), not just its launch. Yes, that gap was the worst.
Yeah monk didnt get blitz TILL 6.0 hence it being the end of the husk period. I love blitz
You know I wish healing was more like the chaotic duty M7N. Picking your spots to dps is a challenge. I have seen healers who pretty much just dps fail at healing because they are not used to it. I know it will get easier to an extent with gear and more people knowing how to do it, but it is still a wake up call. Most healers have a problem power healing.
Spicing up everything is good for the game. Tanks having to mit, healers having to heal, and dps staying mostly out of bad is where the game was at in SB. I remember the salt from Orbonne Monastery and Cid. It was not super hard, just a bit more spicy than usual and people did not like it. People cried because it was too hard when in fact, in my opinion, people were babied with too easy of content because that was all they did.
I know it am not top tier savage material, but even I did not mind stuff like that. I am just starting to get into EX and Savage content a bit more now.
