Hi, first time poster, but I've been having the same issue as previously mentioned, except I don't think this has been mentioned.
On my normal Windows Account User Profile, I have the same issue consistent with others in here, black screen on hitting Play, circumvented by closing Steam as mentioned in the temporary solution.
However, logging into Steam on the computer's second Local User Profile and trying to run the game through that has no problem, running as normal with no black screen.
This leads me to ask the question, are people having problems with this issue logged into a Local User Profile, or their Windows Account? I have no idea how this might have any impact on this issue, but it isn't something I've seen mentioned so it might be worth looking at.
I can pay normal from my steam account. But i can't play normal from my steam account.they pass so much days after that patch who bring the problem with black screen. And im not sure if square try to do something about this.Very dissapoint
I just checked, and same behaviour for me : login in a different windows account, using steam on the same installation and user, running the game through steam --> the game launched on the alternate account but still stucked on black screen on the main account.
Issue still present
From my experience the first start up is always a dud since 6.2 you let the process crash and start it up again it works just fine
Hi, same exact issue described here, except the workaround posted doesn't seem to help. I crash as soon as I try to login to Radz-at-Han if I do the whole 'task manager to kill steam' thing to even get that far.
It's been 13 days, Square. Fix it.
Bump - issue still persisting
