What's your opinion on commendations?

I wish I could turn off the notification without having to turn off all of the other system messages. :3

My feeling of it is lukewarm-to-maybe the whole system should be removed.

But this is probably the lesser evil of feedback systems; i can't imagine the toxicity of an actual review system on peoples dungeon performance; although some would say we already have a real-time version of that. XD

I don't collect comms for anything but I'm a bit salty when I Verraise the clumsy healer 10+ times and/or prevent a party wipe and I get zero comms because that means people don't even notice what an amazing Red Mage I am. :')

As a sprout, commendation was somewhat a way for me to gauge how well I did in a duty, regardless if it's correct or not. I didn't get a comm as a tank? Must because I didn't properly cycle my cds during pulls. Had to heal a squishy tank in dungeon? Getting comms from that as a learning healer boosted my confidence.

However at max level, it's more pointless to me. Now, I drop comms to (1) sprouts who did well or shows effort in learning after making mistakes, (2) non-sprouts that knows their job well (example: healers that don't overheal, tanks that stuns/interrupts elite mobs, melees who knows to greed damage and pull their own weight via using their personal shield and bloodbath if they took hits).

You got a cool/sexy glamour? Commended. You played competently? Commended. You played with swag? Commended. It's a good feeling getting commended, especially when you know you are on top of your (glamour/mechanic/DPS) game.

You run away from commendations just because you think they're useless? You're kinda weird.

They're kind of pointless, but still nice to be acknowledged through them that you did a good job. Especially when your a DPS.

Would be nice if we could exhange them for rare items, gear, glamour and other fun stuff. Other than that, they just collect dust in your character info menu for the most part.

If they have done well then they deserve to be commended. Simple.

Only time I have handed out a comm was when a heqler put their foot down and pulled extra mobs because single pulls are dumb. Chad healer said they the captain now.
