Before it could be called "A game like no other". Now its heading in the direction of "A game"
It's trying to be a family man.
Can I get, like, a dev response to this or something?
Yoshi: "This is the direction we are taking the game... blah blah blah."
When I first saw those words, my assumption was:
Fun - They're going to try to revise the game so that it's fun, and that's top priority.
Live - They're going to keep the game active and online moving forward instead of killing it and starting over.
Rebuild - They're going to completely change the game and rebuild it into something else entirely.
Reboot - Character wipe / re-release of the game.
Obviously Yoshida has stated he would never do a character wipe, but that doesn't mean he can't just as easily remove the value of everyone's efforts in the game and just introduce new stuff entirely.
But that was my interpretation of the words back in the day. I doubt they carry any meaning up to this point.
I think FFXIV is trying to be.... FFXIV. For some reason people can't seem to grasp or accept that.
