Parsing? Drama? ToS? Solution!

I have no interest in improving my performance, I play this game for fun. The only time I do an EX trial or Savage is simply for the clear. Those of you who treat it all like a job need to seriously examine your priorities and lighten up a bit. In the end, it's a game. Expecting players to be banned from using the Duty Finder because you don't want to end up with a casual player, well, that's how you roll on the dice. You never know what you're going to get and that is the way it is. It's the serious raiders and parsers who should be making their own party in PF if they want to be elitist and keep people out.

Some people, don't want to know every little detail of the fights. Hell, I've done fights and dungeons multiple times and my short term memory pretty much wipes once I've done it.

the attack on raiders by "casuals" is also a major factor in why populations spikes for new content. They come back do the raid tier, 3 months later they are out because PF sucks most of the time and they get frustrated for the reasons I already mentioned.

Just set the higher iLvL? It's not the best solution (and doesn't work in early prog on top of that, but 1st weeks are it's own topic), but at least it exists right now, and there is almost 0% rate that they will ever let set filters other than "Completed" and "Minimum iLvL" for a variety of reasons. And considering that as PF holder you can set min ilvl higher than your own... more settings will still not save you from having tricky players who want to have good geared experienced party even if they are themselvefs are not that good. And as reasult this still will be a carrying, probably.

If you are a PF owner, setting let's say 465+ ilvl will most likely save you from having people you need to literally carry (except those with full Shadow set maybe, but I barely see people in full 470 tomestones set tbh). Aside this - if you don't like how the run goes, just leave it. Yes, it's annoying, but there is not much you can do about this.

thank you for proving my point. casuals are so close minded and discriminatory about the subject. why is it okay for you to have "fun" in how you quantify it, but if it goes against what you want, it is wrong and should be bannable.

yeah I know, I set my serious runs for 470 most of the time, and disband after the usual 3 wipes, it is just annoying to do that because it can take so long to fill up a party and within 10 mins it is disbanded. I know a few 470's that can barely do the mechanics (they had friends that were bored and geared them up), and 460's that would excel. my argument is that you should be allowed to put in the description exactly what you are looking for, and kick bad players out without the need to disband the entire party because there is a fear of being banned. It hurts no one's game play to have a tier system, or simply allow people to put in the description what they really want. The current system hurts those that want to improve, while making it easier on those only doing it for "fun". I have seen plenty of fun runs, why are those allowed but the opposite is not.

mentioning parse in game will get you banned for violation of the tos, but I can go gank all the A/S ranks all I want and square is okay with that.

wish I could get a clip of it (I would love to confirm), the friends I know that watched the stream have said the the "victim" was very closed off to constructive suggestions and became toxic in game, while the streamer vented about it only on twitch, but somehow that was against the tos and he was suspended.

So OP is on to something here. I really want to do Ex and Savage but the curve Is a huge leap from normal dungeons to hard to extreme.

Recently did coil synced huge and had some trying times to clear but overall learned a lot. I cant wait to get to Savage Alex. I agree the game could do a better job prepping for hardcore content which to me should be the goal if your serious about improving gameplay with others.

I have taken plenty of criticism, some of it was just different play styles but a majority was very useful in knowing how to drop cool downs, anticipating tank busters, positioning for incoming AoEs, etc.. And though I don't want to purposely waste anyones time there is currently no way around that except for practice run pf which for veterans is not really appealing if they have static. What s the incentive to help?

Op is offering some kinda solution maybe people would stop being so close minded, you can see that its a viable idea. I like playing for fun while improving performance. What the hell is wrong with that?

Well if we are speaking about just word description that people see in PF window - you can write there almost everything except parsers. People jumping at you for "know strat have enrage exp" (example) can jump as much as they want, you just ignore them or report if they start to insult you and go overboard (though tbh I never even had this... but I'm not on NA).
Also, having more specific filters in PF, if we speak about filters like completed/ilvl, actually can harm people. Specifically those who just want to start to learn or want to improve but simply can't join any PF because people would set high requirements. They can start their own ofc, but it doesn't change the fact that there is a very high risk of abusing the system with more specific flags.

You can gank all the A/S ranks because it never was designed to be server-party content. It always was "1st found, 1st killed" and Yoshida actually did say this himself, though I don't think I could find that QA now since it was a while ago. So while people tend to create hunt linkshells to cooperate, the system itself totally accepts you doing whatever you want to hunt you discovered. People asked about changing it for a long time, so maybe they will look into this, but the way it is now hunts aren't something you need to tell everyone about - it's up to you what to do with discovered mob.

The main reason streamer got his ban is because he showed the name, which led to witch hunting (if I do remember everything correct). Victim isn't the best person you could meet, but the ban was deserved. It also isn't the first time they ban streamers, it's just first time it happened to non-JP player.

The issue there wasn't letting the BLM know he was holding the party back. The issue was how that was done.

"Hey man, your DPS is pretty low for this encounter and it's hurting the run" - fine

"You !$#@!'ing suck! Look at your numbers (as I show them to the whole world)! You're *&%!'ing awful, do you even play?!?" - banworthy

I never call people out and i'm by no means an amazing player, but its a bit frustrating to out dps a dps as an Ast sometimes in fights like Hades Ex :p
