This is my feeling. Usually when we get promised "new, unheard of content" we get Eureka: Diadem 3.0 or crafting turn ins, which was literally the equivalent of Rowena in bulk, limited times. They have got to learn that "different" needs to be mechanically different, not just "the same thing with a different skin".
As for getting "more than only 11 skills"? You'll get a hunt log that has 10-20 mobs in it and you'll kill those to get a set number of skills.
I'd love to be wrong, but as much as I love the game, as much as I don't mind the same old thing, I don't listen when they promise "new and exciting".
