Positivity about housing!

After moving in (My family put their hopes on me and my SSD and Business-class cable.). I was out front crafting oriental tables for the MB to lessen the hurt of the house's purchase price and met some new neighbors. Including a REALLY kind lvl 44 carpenter who helped me with a Glamour Prism issue I was having!

I absolutely ADORE the neighborhood aspect!

I miss my old JP neighbors. They were this massive JP casual FC that would always say hi, eventually, when they figured out that I raided a lot, they "helpfully" planted a retainer on the fornt doorstep that sold pretty much everything I needed at a 5% discount off MB prices.

People seem to think the entire world revolves around them. Not everyone who got a house cares about what other people think or more importantly whether or not others did. Just because it's exclusive doesn't mean that people who were lucky enough to receive houses and are happy about it are only bragging.

Square Enix plays this community like fools and you guys are figuratively ripping and tearing at each other for their mistakes and negligence, just because you didn't get something that another person has.

I'm not saying this is a great thread and all that, but the people who bought houses and got lucky shouldn't have to be bleeding hearts for the rest of the community.

I do appreciate players like you standing up for the innocent and I think others do too. Yes, I agree the lucky players who are simply celebrating their good fortune shouldn't be blame for the shortcoming of the system, but no, I don't agree that the OP is one of them, at least not after coming across a couple of his replies on the forums, especially on the housing topic.

Will like to take this chance to congratulate the lucky ones who managed to grab a plot during Shirogane (Savage)! Here's hoping they wouldn't get flame unnecessarily unless they are house flippers or go out of their way to brag and rub salt on other players wound. As for the rest, here's hoping SE will finally do something about this mess and we may all enjoy a little piece of heaven of our own.

OP, this is not a positive posting. There was nothing positive about the situation, even though I was able to move my small home in the Lavender Beds to a small home on Shirogane. The whole thing stunk to the high heavens and needes to be addressed by Square....but yeah GOOD FOR YOU, you got lucky.... /sarcasm

My FC really wanted to upgrade to a medium house ANYWHERE due to our membership increasing, but couldn't find one. And we arent even a huge server...

Got up nice and early yesterday to get into the game, but got hit by the version error check bug. By the time I managed to find the fix on Reddit and install the patch, it was 11:08 and I was placed 1500ish in the queue.

BUT. I still persisted and managed to snag myself a nice little cottage in the ward 2 subdivision. It's not the plot I wanted, but it's a good spot and I'm happy with it. I can't help but wonder if most people moaning are from overpopulated servers like Balmung, who still refuse to move to less populated worlds. If it's instanced housing you want, there's hundreds of free apartment spots on Odin!

I logged in hoping for a large or at least medium Shirogane plot. I had barely enough luck to grab a small plot in Lavender Beds. This had the happy benefit of allowing me to easily outfit the house and finish off my remaining 2 crafts to 70. Silver lining...I guess?

Let me ask you this. Say you got a promotion at your current job but your best friend lost theirs on the same day. Would you celebrate in front of them on that very day and insist going out to dinner? Probably not.

No one is saying people who got lucky need to be bleeding hearts but creating a "positivity" on the day most people were screwed out of that same feature in some way or another is remarkably tone deaf. This isn't even the OP commenting on an existing thread saying they got lucky and are happy about it. They created a thread to spotlight themselves and draw attention. I hearken back to the example above.

Also, grow up. Learn to be happy for other people.
