Well, they've mainly been trying to recover from Astrologian being mostly unusable for most of 3.0... but in the process of all that adjusting, it's like... what about the original regen and shielding healers? I will still play SCH but it feels a little sour to have the hybrid healer basically do everything you do but with higher potencies.

Like yeah, they're getting people to play the new healer now, but if you're gonna adjust one, you kind of have to adjust the others too. Have Adlo or Succor even been touched since SCH came out?

Uh what? AST was perfectly fine after 3.2... WHM was the weakest healer for most of HW. By the end of HW AST had been overtuned, and WHM was left to the wayside.

I'll have to double post (sorry):

My biggest issue with the class is how a number of abilities are too situational and/or clumsy to use.

Quickened Aetherflow: There is no feedback when this proccs, save for eyeballing the cooldown of Aetherflow. It is also a very underwhelming trait (either doesn't give anything, either it gives, or you have Aetherflow ready already making it pointless).
Proposal: Have the trait have a chance at giving a free Aetherflow Stack instead. It's clear when it happens (gauge), and it's all around more fun to use (more options).

Aetherpact: I like the concept, however it is difficult to find a good use for it in its current form.
Proposal: Make it OGCD (it is very awkward to use right now). Increase range, don't waste the meter if it can't heal anymore (out of range). Improve feedback on when it is activated (currently you can activate it, but the gauge only lights up when it starts to actually heal).

Aetherflow Gauge: It would be nice to integrate the cooldown of Aetherflow on the gauge (edges could fill up or something like that). As a bonus, this can also help with the Quickened Aetherflow feedback.

Dissipation: I can't for the life of me find a good use for this outside of VERY situational scenarios. Especially as it requires you to summon the fairy back at the end (so that's a Swiftcast + mana cost).
Proposal: Have it increase damage as well by 20% and/or automatically bring back the faerie at the end of the buff's duration.

Deployment Tactics: Very situational and constrained use for it, especially now with increased cost for shields.
Proposal: Allow it to spread Excogitation

Deployment Tactics is amazing as it is, bordering on being OP. It doesn't need any added bonus. As a matter of fact, adding Excogitation is pointless. When we use Deploy, we do it to reduce incoming damage, combining it with other methods of reducing damage. And I don't rember many situations when after aldo-deploy we needed 650 potency heal (well, maybe in a12s during last phase) .

Another issue with Dissipation is that you only gain fairy gauge when you use aetherflow stacks with the fairy out, and Dissipation....is entirely counterintuitive to that.

Honestly I could go without Aetherpact and instead do something like giving me "Pact" versions of fairy skills in exchange for various amounts of fairy gauge. Like making Selene's Fey Wind into a stronger version for 50 fairy gauge.

The suggestion for Deployment Tactics is based on personal experience and I agree with you that it can, given the right circumstances, be overwhelmingly powerful. That said, it's the one thing in my list that I'm the least confident in (from a balance perspective) and I have to play around with it more in SB.

WHM had a his glorious spot until 3.4. AST was fine after 3.2 but still less used than WHM in general.
This is 3.4 that make AST shine with the buff to balance and celestial opposition, and the fact that the healing requirements was low so that taking an AST over a WHM was totally fine in progress.
And it had never been the weakest, just that Balance was more appealing the big heals WHM could provide.

Secondary proposal: If Excog doesn't activate it galvanizes the player. This would result in a 650 to 975 potency shield. Non crit vs crit. Critlo is 900, but can happen anytime. Enhanced excog would take 30+ seconds of setup to justify potency. Rewarding planning and no punishment if your coheal doesn't let it proc.

I really would like deployment to reset the duration of e4e and galvanize at the least.
